When Andris moved to Commodore House last year, he arrived in a wheelchair, unable to walk. Even then, he held onto one powerful goal, to one day walk again.

Through sheer determination, daily exercises and the incredible support of our team working alongside OT and physio, last week that dream became a reality💙.

Andris walked up the stairs! There were happy tears all round and just look how proud he is👏.

We’re excited to welcome Suzanne Barnard to Agincare as our new Group Quality Director! 👏 As a Registered Nurse, Suzanne brings a fantastic breadth of senior leadership experience, having led across clinical services, safeguarding, quality assurance, community care and hospital settings.

Suzanne will be joined by a brilliant support team, including Vicky Morris, a former CQC inspector with a real passion for quality and safeguarding, and Vicky Reid, an experienced operational leader and Registered Manager who has grown with Agincare over the past six years.

Together, they make a strong, values-driven team who are passionate about supporting our services and continuously raising the bar for quality, governance and care across our organisation. 💙

As January comes to a close, we’re already reflecting on an incredible start to 2026🎉

Through our acquisition of Ambient Support, we’ve helped safeguard vital care services for around 700 people and protected over 800 jobs. We’ve also launched new not-for-profit children’s services, providing residential care that helps children with learning disabilities feel part of a community, thrive and reach their full potential.
