This month is Skin Cancer Awareness Month and we are raising awareness of the risks of skin cancer and ways you can help to reduce your risk.
86% of cases of melanoma are preventable yet increasing numbers of people are being diagnosed with this type of skin cancer. There are now more than 16,000 new cases each year in the UK.

Being sun-safe and regularly checking your skin for any changes, are two really important ways you can reduce your skin cancer risk.

Our super star Dr Morris completed the London Marathon on Sunday in an amazing 5 hours and 28 minutes 🤩🙌🏻 She was back at work today with wobbly legs, but a smile on her face. Huge thank you to everyone who sponsored her and helped her raise money for the National Brain Appeal, a charity very close to her heart ❤️ We are all super proud 😊

If you missed getting vaccinated when you were 12 or 13, the HPV vaccine is available for free on the NHS for:

All girls aged 24 and under up until their 25th birthday
boys born after 1 September 2006 up until their 25th birthday
Contact us today if you or your child were eligible for the HPV vaccine but did not get vaccinated.

NHS Cervical Screening Programme: all communications are now available digitally

The NHS Cervical Screening Programme has now introduced all communications digitally, which includes invitations, reminders and all results. This means quicker and more convenient access to Cervical Screening invitations and results. For those where a digital communication isn't possible, a letter will be posted as a backup, otherwise patients should be encouraged to download the NHS App and enable notifications.
