Nick T’s visits are always wonderful .

Nick has honed his Sauna Master ritual over years - choosing exquisite international training and a deep rooted intuitive understanding of somatic body work coupled with each groups needs and energy.

The sessions are always beautiful and use the natural gifts of carefully foraged herbs and plants from Nicks home land of Cornwall .

I encourage you to book - your understanding of sauna bathing will never be the same !

Thank you thank you thank you

To everyone for making this past weekend utterly fantastic .

To all the passers by who shared their good vibes and well wishes with us .

To who turned just when we needed refuelling.

To coffee and matcha combos have kept us ticking along nicely .

To who supplied supper at sunset on Chesil #ɪʏᴋʏᴋ .

To our crew who are relentless in their enthusiasm and love for our sauna .

To Mama Nature who blessed us with the most pristine clear blue waters to bathe in and to the sun that powered us through the good times.

But mostly to our wonderful guests who celebrate with us in the simple joys of being alive ☀️ We know you feel it too!

We are so grateful and so ready to step into June with the vibrancy it deserves .

We’ve a whole host of wellbeing events planned..

beginning with a short visit from our friend on June 6th . It’ll be off the back of our annual trip to the Summit where we are hoping Nick wins Sauna Practitioner for a second year running.

Families , work buddies , sports teams or simply a bunch of good mates .

It’s just so uplifting to welcome folk that know each other and want to share the good times doing good things .

Last weekend was priceless :

People deciding to ditch plans to go away because quite frankly, Portland has EVERYTHING for a cracking weekend of outdoor fun!

And a special local family who’ve started weaving sauna into all their birthday celebrations simply because they love it and it gets them altogether with no distractions!

And followed by a hearty breakfast - what’s not to love ?!

Last year we shortlisted in the Top 3 for the Best Community Sauna in our first year. This was epic.

We’d be proud as punch to bring this award home to Portland for us all to enjoy this year 🙌🏼

Folk are asking if the benefits are the same when we sauna in warmer weather .

And I can tell you YES , YES they are

The sauna remains our anchor throughout the year

The place we come to be with our pals

Or to build up our resilience to the stuff of life

The place where the highs and lows of the world seem insignificant for just an hour

Where our cortisol levels are lowered and the feel good stuff just flows

Sauna becomes our way of life , our rythmn throughout the year.

And that’s why we’re committed to being here every day , why our team are trained and are all sauna lovers .

A Simple SHOUT OUT , HIGH FIVE and CHEERS M’DEARS

To this absolute legend .

Brenda began visiting the sauna to ease her into a good restorative daytime sleep after some pretty intense night shifts at work.

Sauna helped ( of course) and Brenda soon became a solid member of our Island Sauna posseé. It wasn’t long before she invited hubbie Jamie along and now we always look forward to their banter and strong sauna game!

But this small act took Brenda’s sauna commitment to another level.

She only went and got the ink done .

I could not believe my eyes - and was so stoked.

Of course the artwork is beautiful - did it in her studio .collective23 across the road but it’s more than that -

It’s the trust we all have in each other, the investment in our health and precious time we spend together that is all wrapped up in this wonderful tattoo.

Thank you Brenda - you’re a proper good ‘un 🧡

Our evenings of Soundbath, Sea Dips + Sauna are all so different.

Despite all the careful curation, plans and preparation, once we step into the evening, we are always humbled.

All the beautiful souls that trust us with their time and energy contribute to the flow and one thing we know is that we are guided by our hearts .

It’s lovely .

We appreciate the laughter, the stillness , the chatter and joy.

We appreciate our surroundings and the way we are moving through the seasons with guidance from nature.

Our May and June dates are live and I’d bagsy a space pretty soon! They’re popular 🧡🍊🍃✨
