Today, we are proud to celebrate an exceptional milestone as one of our longest-serving team members, Ruth Chick, marks 30 years with Agincare as a Senior Care Worker.
For three decades, Ruth has been at the heart of our flagship home care service in Weymouth and Portland, delivering expert, person-centred care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those she supports.
At Agincare, we are fortunate to have team members who have dedicated many years to our organisation, some since the very beginning of our journey. Their commitment and passion have played a vital role in shaping who we are today.
Ruth’s impact is best reflected in the words of those who work alongside her.
Beata, Field Care Supervisor (22 years with Agincare), said:
“Ruth has been an outstanding member of our for 30 years, and her experience is something we all rely on.
"She consistently sets a high standard in care, always putting the people we support first and supporting the team with patience and respect.
"Even in difficult situations, Ruth remains calm, professional, and compassionate, which is why she is so highly valued across the service.”
Olivia Walsh, Registered Manager of the Weymouth and Portland home care service, added:
“As Registered Manager, I can confidently say Ruth is one of the most dedicated and dependable staff members I have worked with.
Her long service of 30 years speaks for itself, but it is her everyday actions, her kindness, reliability, and commitment to excellent care that truly define her.
She is a role model to new team members and a huge asset to the organisation.”
Reflecting on her three decades with Agincare, Ruth said:
“I love my job and the best part of it is meeting people in the community and supporting them in any way that I can. It is always worth getting up every day to help other people.”
