🧘🏼 CLASSES @ YOUR FAVE STUDIO THIS WEEK 🧘🏼

With the Easter holidays upon us and possibly with some extra time to kill there is no better time to maybe try a session you haven’t had the pleasure of having a go at yet!

Our sesssions are also great for teens if you need some classes to occupy their break - relaxing yin, beginner, stretch and revive are fab sessions to do together for bonding time!

We’ve also opened up a couple of extra spots for private 1-2-1s in the next couple of weeks so please message if interested!

Schedule is as follows:

Monday 30th - power yoga 6.30pm (high intensity/sweat/ workout)
Tuesday 31st - chair yoga 10am (perfect for seniors)
Beginners 4.30pm (great place to start)
Stretch 6pm (lower back focus / lengthening)
Wednesday 1st April - 6.45am and 9.30am - fire and form (your pt session focusing on quality of movement)
Pilates 6pm (core focus/ great for back pain)
Thursday 2nd - super stretch (next level stretching for those that need the feels)
Friday 3rd - gentle yoga 9.30am (soft start to the weekend)
Chair yoga 11am
Flow 5.30pm (dynamic movement/ creative)
Relaxing yin 6.45pm (this week is a sound bath)
Saturday 4th - revive yoga (our great all rounder)

🧘🏼 PILATES AT YOUR LOCAL STUDIO 🧘🏼

If you’ve been meaning to do something for your core, your posture or that back that keeps kicking off, come and try our mat Pilates class on Wednesdays at Sìdà Yoga.

This is not one of those chaotic fitness classes where you spend the whole hour wondering what on earth is going on. It’s smart, focused teaching in a really lovely studio, with proper attention on strength, control and moving well. Expect core work, stability, posture support and the kind of class that leaves you feeling better in your body.

We’re based on Lerret Road in Portland, opposite the Beehive Café, so very easy to find.

If you want a class that feels polished, welcoming and actually useful, this is a good one.

Restorative yin yoga gives your body and mind a chance to properly slow down. In a world that constantly pushes more effort, more output and more stimulation, this practice offers the opposite. Longer supported holds help release deep tension, improve mobility and create space in the body, while the slower pace encourages the nervous system to settle. It can help reduce stress, support better sleep, ease mental overwhelm and leave you feeling more grounded, clear headed and physically restored. It is not about pushing harder. It is about giving your system what it is often missing most, which is time, stillness and space to reset.

🖊️ Dearest Gentle Readers, 📄

It has come to this author’s attention that this evening’s Power Yoga class was, in fact, less of a graceful gathering and more of an exquisitely organised physical undoing.

To those now reaching for their water bottles with trembling arms, lowering themselves onto chairs with great caution, and already anticipating tomorrow’s shoulder burn, core pain and general sense of betrayal, please accept my sincerest apologies.

One cannot deny that tonight’s session was among the most ruthless of the season. A most ambitious sequence. A notable lack of mercy. And yet, the room rose to the occasion with admirable grit, questionable enthusiasm and very little left in the tank.

Should you wake tomorrow unable to laugh, cough, sneeze, or lift your arms above shoulder height, do know that you suffered in exceptionally good company.

Yours in strength, soreness, and poor decision-making,

I’m sooooo busy all the time so after Revive it’s always a treat for me to connect with my students and step out of the teachers shoes for a bit and get to know people and I can count each one of these lovely souls as friends too. Because that what it’s all really about isn’t it? Community x

I never thought in a million years my split would feel ‘nice’ …yep I said it….. be gone is that feeling of collapse or the sensation that you are being ripped in two (iykyk)

At Super Stretch it’s not just about more advanced asana. We dive deeper into the body mechanics to develop our understanding of how we feel in shapes that challenge us physically and mentally.
We use simple alignment techniques and mobility skill to unlock depth as well as tailoring that to our own bodies to explore our own range of motion.
Yes it’s a harder class physically and mentally, some would argue a more advanced offering on the schedule, but here we unlock elusive poses. Here we develop our understanding of how OUR bodies work rather than the cookie cutter/ parrot yoga offerings you find in more ‘general textbook’ sessions.

Through understanding we can develop.
Through understanding we can go deeper.
Through understanding we can bloody fly!

Tonight’s session will be honouring the splits. And it’s joyous.
