We've published an update on the meningitis outbreak and what it means for Scotland.

There are currently no cases known to be linked to this outbreak in Scotland and therefore no evidence of any increased risk here.

Important Notice for Saturday 21st March 2026

Portlethen Medical Centre Car will be unavailable on Saturday 21st from 13.00 so that the pot holes can be repaired and the road markings repainted.

You will still be able to collect any prescriptions from Michie's Pharmacy on Saturday morning as normal until 12.45.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

A place-based approach is about understanding the assets, issues, and needs of a place, and coordinating action and investment to deliver better outcomes. It encourages and enables local flexibility to respond to issues and circumstances in different places. The strategy seeks to work more closely with communities in their role as custodians of local places and to find solutions through working with partners at a local level. Please complete the survey at the link attached.

As part of the Aberdeenshire Council Place Strategy, we will be working with you to create Place Plans for each academy town and the surrounding area. The Place Plans will be built with the participation of people in the academy catchment area and will be delivered
