If you are currently training to be a reformer instructor and would like somewhere to practice or if you would like to do a mock assessment or if you would like some assessment planning guidance or feedback then you are welcome to hire my studio or me to help you.

Or if you are thinking of becoming a Pilates Instructor then Mat Pilates is where you should start, and I can help and support you on your training journey.

It isn’t, and shouldn’t be, a quick fix, take your time practice the fundamentals and progress only when you’re confident onto the equipment like the reformer.

I have over 20 years experience as a Mentor, a Teacher Trainer and an Assessor. I’ve worked for different training providers across the country and I’m currently Chief Mat & Reformer Assessor for the Pilates Union Uk.

This is rather an odd post but I’ve lost of my bag of pilates balls like the one in the photo.

I left them in the drayton United church hall on Tuesday they were there Wednesday morning, but when I went back Wednesday afternoon they had gone.

Anyone seen them? Mainly green balls but a few silver and purple ones too in the net bag. ☹️

You do NOT need to spend hours in the gym or know what you’re doing before you start.

I can teach you simple, effective exercises you can do at home with very little equipment, help you build strength and muscle safely, and guide you step by step to feel more confident with exercise again.

I also run supportive studio sessions for women who want a little extra help in a friendly, welcoming environment.

Boundaries from lovely Anna 👇

People like me (ie therapists/coaches often prattling on about the importance of boundaries. Knowing what your boundaries are, setting them and holding firm to them.

Somebody recently challenged one of my boundaries which ultimately is around my emotional safety, self-respect and values, to instead people please for others ease in a challenging situation… and it made me think 🤔

Boundaries are not about avoiding or putting up with things which you just don’t like. In fact quite the opposite.

It’s a clear statement of what you will and won’t accept…your time, energy, body, and emotional space.

Not controlling others. Not punishing others. Just defining your limits.

Without boundaries, you end up overcommitted, resentful, drained, disconnected from yourself.

With boundaries, you get clarity, self respect, better relationships (yes really) & energy for what really matters.

How to set a boundary (keep it simple):

💪 Get honest: What feels off or too much?

🕰️ Decide your limit: What am I available for instead?

🗣️ Say it clearly: “I’m not available for that.”…“I need more notice next time.”…’’I don’t feel comfortable in that situation’’

No over-explaining. No apologising for having needs.

People may challenge your boundaries, especially if they’re used to the old version of you. And especially if it challenges the status quo.

Here’s how to handle it….

🧘‍♀️ Stay calm and repeat the boundary

🤫 Don’t get pulled into debates

Consistency is what makes a boundary real.

People don’t learn your boundaries from what you say once….they learn from what you consistently allow.

Your life gets lighter the moment your boundary becomes solid.

*** CHANGES TO CLASSES TONIGHT 7th May **

Due to The Drayton Centre being used a polling centre tonight (which I completely forgot!) I am unable to use the large hall tonight so I’m very sorry that there will be NO DanceFit class.

And if you are booked onto the Pilates-Yoga-relax class this will be the small hall at the back at 7.45PM (instead of 7.30pm start) after the martial arts group.

I will send emails as well!
