Morning everyone!

From February, if you attend my Thursday evening Pilates, Yoga, breathwork class, then you can attend my DanceFit class before at 6.30pm for half price so just £3 a class or £2.50 if you block book.

The combination of cardio before yoga/pilates is brilliant - the muscles are super warm, the lymph system and fascia are free and lose which means your range of movement will be bigger and joints less stiff to allow you to mobilise them more effectively.

With the weather cold and damp we start to stiffen up and can swell reducing the ability to move freely, regular movement in different ways like bouncing jumping twisting bending has huge benefits for the lymph and fascia systems.

Plus, if you saw the programme last night about improving brain function and reducing brain fog, improving memory, reducing risks of dementia etc then exercise like dancing where you are having to focus on choreography and co-ordination has huge positive impact on your grey matter, as well as heart health. AND it’s a natural antidepressant!

Omg so many benefits.

Anyone else watch the TV programme on the brain tonight? I love stuff like that. 🧠

I especially liked how we can improve brain function and the top tips plus how our gut is our second brain and the close link between gut and brain, and how they send signals to each other.

Also, how breathwork has so many benefits…..

One type of breathwork I teach in my Thursday evening class is the box breath format, try it.

Sit or lay comfortably

Inhale for 4 slowly
Hold your breath for 4
Exhale for 4 slowly
Hold your breath for 4

Image a square or box in your mind. See if you can solely focus on this image. This is a form of basic meditation.

Try it for a couple of minutes everyday. 🧘‍♀️🧘‍♂️
