Introducing our new Gardening Club Spring/Summer 2026 Programme 🌱 🪴

A free 10-week gardening programme for Drayton Surgery patients only, designed for people experiencing loneliness, low mood, or living with a health condition.

Starting on 15th May, 10am - 12pm. Most sessions take place at Drayton Surgery.

Each week includes a mix of indoor and outdoor gardening activities, with a focus on wellbeing, connection, and gentle skill-building. Refreshments are provided, and occasional guest speakers may join us.

Please note spaces are limited. Contact hiowicb-p.portsmouthnorthpcn@nhs.net to find out more, or call the Drayton Surgery and ask to speak with the Link Workers.

We’re so proud of our Cancer Care Coordinator, Louise 💐

This week she received a beautiful delivery from a very grateful patient to say thank you for the support she gave with hospital appointments and ongoing care. Louise works incredibly hard supporting patients through what can be a very difficult and overwhelming time.

If you are registered with The Drayton Surgery or Kirklands Surgery and have received a cancer diagnosis and would like someone to help guide and support you through appointments, services and what happens next, Louise is here for you. Please contact your surgery and ask to speak to our Cancer Care Coordinator.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to our third Menopause Evening at Gatcombe House yesterday. It was so lovely to see such a great turnout and to spend the evening learning, sharing, and supporting each other.

Dr Cassidy gave a short informative presentation to begin the evening, on the hormonal coil, which sparked some great discussions. At our next session, we’ll be exploring another women’s health topic and also looking at non-hormonal options for managing menopause, so there will be plenty of useful information for everyone.

We’re so grateful for the sense of community and openness that everyone brought to the evening - it really made it special. We can’t wait to welcome you all back for the next session for more learning, sharing, and a chance to connect with others going through similar experiences. You will have the opportunity to hear from Dr Cassidy and our Clinical Pharmacist, Yasmin. Our Social Prescriber, Katie, will also be present for information on other support services in the local area.
