Agood hypnotherapist isn’t about being mysterious or “powerful”. It’s about confidence, listening deeply, and knowing when to ask open questions that explore… and closed questions that clarify. That’s where real change begins.

Emotion is not the same as abreaction.
In hypnotherapy, we don’t need to relive trauma for change to happen. Real transformation comes from working with the mind safely, calmly and respectfully.

Is hypnotherapy dangerous?

It’s a question that comes up surprisingly often. In reality, when practised responsibly, hypnotherapy is widely regarded as a very safe therapeutic approach that has helped thousands of people make positive changes in their lives.

A “year-long” hypnotherapy course doesn’t always mean a year of training.

Many programmes are simply a few weekends spread across a calendar year. What really matters isn’t the label on the course — it’s the quality of the teaching, the practical skills you develop, and whether you leave feeling confident to work with real clients.

The moment you stop reading the script and start owning it, everything changes.
Confidence in hypnotherapy isn’t about perfection… it’s about presence.

Imposter syndrome hits so many therapists, especially in the early days.
That little voice saying “Who am I to help someone?” — even when you’re fully trained.

Remember: your clients don’t need perfection. They need someone who cares, listens, and shows up. And that’s already you.

Your first hypnotherapy session as a qualified practitioner?

You don’t need to be perfect.
You don’t need to know everything.
You just need to be present.

Trust your training.
Trust the process.
Trust yourself.

Confidence doesn’t come before you start…
It comes because you start.

You’ve got this. 💛

Join me live next Wednesday for CPD training where I’ll show you how to structure sessions clearly, calmly and confidently.
No fluff. Just practical skills you can use immediately in the therapy room.
