Our YOU Counselling Centres cover a range of different interventions. PARAGON and STAR Counselling offer specialist support for individuals who have experienced recent or non-recent r**e, sexual abuse, or sexual and domestic violence. Our trauma-informed services are rooted in compassion, confidentiality, and respect—empowering survivors to begin or continue their journey toward healing.

Counselling with You is a dedicated Portsmouth-based team providing general counselling for adults who live, work, study, or volunteer within the PO1–PO6 postcode areas. Whether you're facing personal challenges, emotional distress, or simply seeking space to reflect, our counsellors are here to support you.

What We Offer
We provide a range of ther**eutic options tailored to individual needs, including:
- One-to-one counselling
- Group therapy and peer support
- Specialist recovery groups
- Restorative retreats and wellbeing sessions
Our services are delivered by qualified professionals and guided by best practice standards. We are proud members of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Male Survivors Trust.

Focus Point’s counselling rooms recently got a fresh new look, thanks to Zurich Community Trust Summer Challenge! We’re delighted to share the results of our successful application to the Zurich Community Trust 2025 Summer Challenge. We sent in a proposal asking for support to redecorate our counselling rooms at Focus Point. And Zurich generously chose to back our vision, thank you team!

Focus point gets a new look thank to the amazing efforts of the volunteers at Zurich Insurance. Business helping their community is welcome!

Our counselling team participated in the 999 Day event in Fareham town centre over the weekend. We supported local emergency services and informed the community about our mental wellbeing resources.☺️

The day featured numerous activities, displays of emergency service vehicles, and valuable information for families who attended.

The YOU Counselling Centres pathways include the optional ‘Starlight Steps’ courses. This is usually done towards the end of the counselling sessions.

This includes two CPD accredited courses. The Power of Self-Esteem and then The Power of Purpose. After completing the first, and participating in the Starlight Steps Community Enrichment Group, clients are eligible to join the Power of Purpose course. We recently concluded this course in Fareham.

For this course, participants came together from six separate courses and worked together to find out what gets in the way of them creating more of the life they want. It involves learning how to clear these ‘blocks’ in order to free themselves to claim their purposes in life.

It was a joyful and supportive environment, with new and familiar connections made. We’ll revisit content learnt in the weekly Enrichment Group, so that everyone can get the most from the material.
