Mental health is so important we are saddened to hear of the passing of Ricky Hatton today who's struggled with his own demons
He crossed over boxing into the mainstream ,to the casual fan , a Manchester legend.
He achieved so much. Condolences to all his family, friends, those who knew him and the boxing world.
In recent years, Hatton became vocal about his own struggles with mental health, and tried to help others too.
He became an ambassador for the mental health charity Campaign Against Living Miserably in 2023.
In a man orientated work environment, we're getting better, but there is still work to do around better mental health for all.
I joined world su***de prevention day Baton of hope tour in Leeds Last weds touching to see bereaved su***de survivors participate in the tour for their loved ones
Two construction workers take their own lives every working day (on average) with 507 recorded in 2021 alone.
Mental Health issues faced by those within construction is 4x higher than the general population.
Always more work to do to open up the conversation ans reduce the burden of mental health and those affected by the ultimate consequence of crisis points.
RIP Ricky Hatton some unforgettable nights he gave us at the peak of his career , but to those who knew him a dad, husband, son and friend ❤️❤️❤️
The UK is currently facing an escalating mental health crisis, with rising demand for services, long waiting times.
