Did anyone else catch George getting his hearing aid today?
Our preschoolers did—and they loved it so much, they watched it twice!

Congratulations to our fabulous patron, Jodie Ounsley, another big moment to celebrate. A huge well done to the National Deaf Children's Society and Hasbro — we can’t wait to follow George on his journey!

A massive thank you to Richard from The Lovely Bubbly Show for putting on such a fun show for the children, they absolutely loved it! 🫧🤩
Hearing their squeals of laughter throughout and smiles all around is what it’s all about 🥰

This show and the children’s bubble wands were funded by National Deaf Children's Society ❤️

We hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend and look forward to seeing you all for a fun (hopefully sunny!!) day out at Fishers Farm on 28th March! 🐐🐷🐔🐑

Our next SKZ club day is 6th June- due to the next 2 club dates being over a bank holiday weekend- we find these days very quiet in spring/summer due to people taking advantage of the extra days off work to go away! (And we don’t blame you!) ☀️🚙

We do however have our May half term event on 23rd May- Mount Air Fun! 😎

We’re so excited to announce our first two Teens Nights! 💫😎

11th April- Come join us at our SKZ Hall for games, music, pizza, and plenty of laughs. It’s a relaxed space for teens to get to know each other, build friendships, and just have fun 🍕🥤🎱👾🃏🕹️🎶

9th May- Meet us at “Level One” in Southampton for an evening of fun interactive games, food and drinks, and lots of laughs! 🤩

We know teenagers have busy social lives, so we’ll be offering spaced out dates to make it easier to pop into the calendar.

To help everyone feel comfortable, we ask that teens attend the hall prior to events so they can meet each other in a structured environment before the bigger, busier nights.
Please book in ASAP so we can get the desired time slot/games for Level One 😁

A form will be sent to parents to be completed prior to first visit- they can be sent back to us via messenger or given to us in person if you come with your child. All volunteers are DBS checked.

Calling all Deaf Teens in Hampshire! 📣

We know how important it is for teenagers to connect with others who share their experiences—especially during these formative years, when community and belonging matter most 💫

We’re excited to announce that we’ll be launching quarterly clubs and half-term events specifically for SKZ Teens. These sessions will be a space to connect, have fun, and build friendships in a supportive and friendly environment.

If you’re interested in being a SKZ Teen- we’d love to hear from you. We know there are plenty of Deaf teenagers out there—we just need help reaching them and finding out who’d like to get involved!
