Bank holiday weekend is just 2 weeks away with a wide variety of activities to entertain the whole family in Portsmouth, so if you would like to hire a disability scooter or wheelchair for the weekend be sure to make a booking with our team. Pop into our Arundel street shop, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday or Friday between 10am and 4pm or contact us on 07493 132948 or at shopmobility@portsmouthcc.gov.uk. Please note we will be closed on Monday 4th May.

COMING TO COMIC CON 2026 ⚔️

Our brilliant cosplay partners, Dream Team Portsmouth, are back in 2026! As always, they'll host our four Cosplay Parades over the weekend, and will be all over event as your favourite characters, talking all things cosplay. Keep an eye out for Jack Skellington, Feyre from the ACOTAR series, a couple of variations on Deadpool, and even more surprises...

Watch this space for updates on Portsmouth's new disability hub which will be run by Portsmouth.

🎉 We're delighted to share that HIVE Portsmouth has been successful in our application for just under £9,000 from the government's Common Ground fund!

The Common Ground Award supports those who are building connections between communities and we’re proud to be among 212 organisations nationally to receive this funding.

Our award will help us continue to build our new Disability Hub - a dedicated space where residents with disabilities can access practical support, connect with others, and build confidence.

The Hub will offer help with benefits forms, navigating services, digital support, and much more - all co-designed with the Portsmouth Disability Advisory Group to make sure it truly reflects what our community needs.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our work - our volunteers, partners, and the residents who inspire everything we do. Watch this space for updates! 🏠✨

Citizens Advice Solent East - Havant branch are opening a brand new Advice Hub in Leigh Park but we still need you - to help make it happen. 🙂🙏

This hub will be a permanent, welcoming space where local people from across the region can get the advice and help needed to face life’s toughest challenges, but as a charity we rely heavily on our fantastic supporters, our volunteers, funding and donations to be able to do what we do. 🤩

For over 85 years, our much loved service has supported local people through some of the hardest times of their lives; tackling debt, housing problems, domestic abuse, and financial hardship.

Our advice and support is free, confidential and impartial. We are proud to be dependable and trusted to be here for everyone when they need us. No matter what the problem, we can help find a way forward.

Right now, the Havant team don’t have a permanent space to help residents, and this is why we are urgently calling for support and fundraising, to get this advice hub ready and open in the heart of the community.
