This week I completed my Pilates diploma🎉A nice little addition to offer to my existing classes and 1:1 fitness clients, including some help for my massage clients to help ease pain and strengthen core/body💪

Here is a little pilates core flow if you'd like to ease into the year with some gentle movement - safe for fellow Lipoedema ladies, beginners and recovery.

Is virtual training still 'on trend'?

Over this past year a few of my online clients are now seeing me face to face, its great for motivation and to have human connection.

Although time seems to be limited these days and prioritising just 30 minutes out of your day or week for restoration movement or exercise seems to be at the bottom of the list... unless you commit and pay for a coach.

But, the benefits of creating time for yourself in a busy world is vital for your overall wellbeing, stress relief, body composition, hormone regulation, mobility and mental clarity.

I'm curious, do you participate in free online training/yoga, do you prefer spending to commit or are you back to face to face movement now?

Yoga as Medicine // Mind & Body healing 🙏🏼

It took me many years to find a yoga practice that I could get into, I remember being a beginner & feeling quite intimidated with not knowing where to go or what to do!!
I went to many classes and instructors before it became a habit ✨

The way I coach through my classes is ideal for a beginner, start to slow down the breath & be mindful of each movement as we stretch and release tension stored in the body.

Last year I added an additional qualification that I can offer for my class attendees, Polyvagal theory yoga to help heal the endocrine system ✨
My idea this year is to offer monthly workshops that you can join & take away small parts of the sessions to input into your busy schedule.

Next online workshop will be on Thursday 26th January, 8pm.

✨Ideal for beginners, take time to add some calm into your week😁

Rainy day for a stretch 🤸‍♀️Over the years of coaching I've found this time of the year back niggles start to kick in due to sitting or traveling.

I'm feeling hopeful & ready for the next year ahead, we've all had a rough few years to navigate through. I know my nervous system is in need for some r&r, and I'm listening, incoming....down time 🙏🏼🙂

🥄🥄Spoon Theory/Method & Returning back to movement 🙂

💥Energy management technique used for those with an inflammatory autoimmune condition, CFS, Fibromyalgia, Cancer rehab, Longcovid, post viral infection, Lipoedema, Chrones, POTs, Endometriosis/PCOS, Heart Conditions, Migraines.... just to name a few!

Especially when it comes down to movement / light exercise again 🙏🏼 Energy management is 🔑 we are all so different with how we tolerate tasks in day to day life and stresses. Listen to YOUR body.
Take small moments of the day to move using bodyweight and breathwork, don't go hard and all in with a 45min+ hiit class...!
I started with 10 minutes of yoga or a walk, built up another rep or added a few minutes every 2 weeks (I'm now 4 years in).
Rest before you tire with exercise, post excursion malaise can hit up to 72 hours after over doing things/exercise.
Keep a diary of your energy

Replenish those 🥄🥄🥄 with rest, trying your best with a sleep routine, keep an eye on hormonal cycle phases, maybe look in to your nutrition/hydration (are you eating enough to restore your body?)

Have a good weekend..... And look after your energy when returning back to exercise
