Samantha's journey into Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine started 8 years ago when she decided that she would love a career in healthcare. She completed a course in Higher Education into Nursing before training successfully as a Dental Nurse; it i

s from here that Samantha's passion to help people grew. Samantha herself turned to Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine to help her with a health condition of her own and found the results were amazing! After that, she researched the background on this incredible ancient medicine and fell in love with the way that Traditional Chinese Medicine viewed and treated illness. Samantha is now a fully qualified Acupuncturist after successfully completing a 4 year Bachelor of Science Honours Degree at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine- a well established learning facility in Reading. She then went on to do further training is Cosmetic Acupuncture with Paul Atkins- founder and owner of Facial Enhance UK.

"My passion in life is just to help people. I can not stress enough how much I love my job and being able to help people both physically and mentally. Acupuncture is such a safe and effective way of treating so many illnesses and problems. It helped me in so many ways and now I just want to share the same experience I had with others."

Trying to conceive isn’t just about ovulation tests and timing.

It’s the mental load that comes with it.

The constant second-guessing…
“Am I doing enough?”
“Should I be doing something different?”
“Why does it feel like everyone else gets pregnant so easily?”

And then there’s the part where you’re doing all the things…
tracking, researching, cutting out caffeine, taking every supplement you see with the promise of a pregnancy…

…and still feeling like your body just isn’t getting the memo.

(I promise you, you’re not the only one thinking this.)

This is something I see all the time in clinic.

Women are doing everything they can—
but their bodies are exhausted, overwhelmed, and stuck in a constant state of stress.

And that has an impact.
Not just emotionally, but physically too.

Sometimes the next step isn’t doing more.

It’s supporting your body in a way that actually allows it to respond.

A small place to start this week, give your nervous system one signal of safety each day.

That might be:
– a 10 minute walk without your phone
– slowing your breathing for a few minutes
– eating meals sat down (not rushing or multitasking)

Nothing dramatic. Nothing overwhelming.

Just a small shift out of “constant doing” mode.

You don’t need to do everything.
You just need to start somewhere 🤍

“I already had a baby successfully… so why am I struggling to have another??”

This is one of the most common questions I hear in the clinic.

Welcome to secondary infertility... it’s actually more common than many people realise!

Fertility isn't fixed — it changes over time. Hormones shift, life gets busier, stress levels increase, sleep decreases, and conditions like endometriosis or thyroid imbalances can appear between pregnancies.

And let’s be honest… trying to support your fertility while also raising a small human can be a very different experience to the first time around! Your diet, sleep and exercise are certainly not at the top of your priority list at this time!

Acupuncture can be really helpful here. It works by supporting hormone regulation, improving blood flow to the uterus and ovaries, and helping calm the nervous system — which is often under a bit of pressure when you’re juggling life, work and parenting. We can also look into what diet and lifestyle changes you can make to fit your life and your individual needs.

Secondary infertility can feel confusing, but your body hasn’t “forgotten” how to conceive. Sometimes it just needs a little support!

Mother’s Day can feel a lot of different ways 💕

For some, it’s full of little hands, laughter, and family moments.
For others, it can be quiet, tender, or even a little painful.

Working with women on their fertility journeys, I see just how many emotions this day can hold.

Today, I’m holding space for all of it —
For mothers,
For those hoping to become mothers,
For anyone navigating IVF or fertility challenges,
And for anyone for whom this day is hard.

Wherever you are on your journey, be gentle with yourself today — a little self-compassion goes a long way. 🌿

Trying to conceive? Fertility care has more to offer than people realise.
Acupuncture isn’t just for sore backs and stiff necks—although it’s excellent at those too. In fertility care, it works at a deeper systems level. Pooled IVF data shows that adding acupuncture can improve pregnancy rates and increase live births compared with control groups (Manheimer et al., 2023). Sometimes that small physiological edge is the difference that matters.
This isn’t woo. Acupuncture supports blood flow to the uterus, helps regulate immune signalling, and calms the nervous system—creating an environment where implantation has a better chance to settle in and stay.
Whether you’re preparing for transfer, supporting natural conception, or gathering yourself for another round, this is about working with your body, not fighting it.

Anxiety has a habit of shrinking your world—tight chest, busy mind, fewer places that feel safe.
Acupuncture helps do the opposite.
In a randomised trial, people receiving acupuncture saw meaningful drops in anxiety, with benefits that often lasted for months (Chan et al., 2022). Not magic. Physiology.
By nudging the nervous system out of constant high alert, acupuncture helps lower background stress hormones, boost feel-good endorphins, and guide the body back toward balance. Think fewer internal alarm bells, more breathing room.
No pressure to be “zen.” Just support for your system while it remembers how to settle.
When you’re ready to feel more like yourself again, I’m here.

Acupuncture isn’t just a quick fix for sore muscles — it’s a gentle conversation with your brain.

Studies show that during treatment, areas controlling pain and stress settle into calmer rhythms, while your brain’s autopilot and emotional centres start syncing (Lee et al., Frontiers in Neuroscience).

Your body also releases natural pain-relief chemicals like endorphins and enkephalins — and the points we choose really do make a difference.

This is why people notice more than pain relief: easier breathing, better mood, deeper sleep, and a stress response that finally lets the immune system do its job.

Feeling stressed? Acupuncture can act like a nervous system reset — minus the off switch panic.

A randomised study found stress levels dropped by around a third with Acupuncture, compared to 12% in the control group (Puhan et al., 2019). People noticed softer shoulders, easier breathing, better sleep, and more resilience — with benefits still present a month later.

Why this matters: Acupuncture supports the body’s calming pathway (hello, vagus nerve) and steadies heart rhythm. When the nervous system settles, the rest of the body can follow.

At Samantha Gallier Acupuncture, Fertility & Diagnostics, I help nervous systems find their calm.

Getting the most from your acupuncture session isn’t just about the needles — it’s about what happens after.

Think rest, warmth, and proper nourishment. Eat well, hydrate, and give your nervous system some breathing room. Try to avoid caffeine, smoking, intense exercise, and ice-cold food or drinks for the rest of the day (your body prefers cosy, not shocked).

These small choices help your system integrate the work more deeply, so the benefits last longer.

At Samantha Gallier Acupuncture, Fertility & Diagnostics, you’re guided every step of the way.

So many people come in convinced their fertility is “broken"

Most of the time, it’s just been whispering (or shouting!) through symptoms that haven’t been connected yet.

My job isn’t to force anything.

It’s to help the body regulate, communicate better, and feel safe enough to do what it already knows how to do.

Save this for the days fertility feels overwhelming — or when Dr Google sends you spiralling
