π₯ HOW TO THROW THE PERFECT CROSS π₯
Master this fundamental strike and level up your game!
β¨ THE SETUP
Start in your fighting stance - feet shoulder-width apart, non-dominant foot forward, hands up protecting your face
πͺ THE TECHNIQUE
1. ROTATE FROM THE CORE - Power starts from your hips and core, not just your arm
2. STEP & PIVOT - Step forward slightly with your lead foot while pivoting your back foot
3. DRIVE THE SHOULDER - Push your rear shoulder forward as you extend your arm
4. STRAIGHT LINE - Punch straight through your target, don't loop or telegraph
5. SNAP IT BACK - Quick retraction back to guard position
π― PRO TIPS
Keep your chin tucked and opposite hand up
Exhale sharply on impact ("tss!")
Aim through your target, not just at it
Practice on pads before heavy bags
Start slow, build speed with proper form
