Spent the day earlier this week immersed in training and learning more about the science behind skin, particularly the role oxidative ageing plays in how our skin changes over time.

It’s one of those topics that really shifts how you think about skincare. The daily things we’re exposed to – pollution, UV, stress, lifestyle – all contribute to the gradual breakdown we see in the skin. And understanding that properly changes the way we approach treatment and home care.

My love doesn’t really do cards. He doesn’t queue for flowers or make a big show of today.

But he chooses me. Every single day.

He chooses to back me when I doubt myself.
He chooses to support the late nights, the early mornings, the constant ideas and “just one more thing” moments.
He listens when I’m overthinking, celebrates the small wins, and stands quietly in the background while I build the life I once only talked about.

And if I’m honest, that kind of love means more than a grand gesture ever could.

It’s not loud. It’s not performative. It’s steady. Consistent. Safe.

So today isn’t about roses or restaurant bookings for me. It’s about gratitude for the man who shows up in the ordinary days — because that’s where real love lives.

On the golf course… phone tucked into the buggy.

In the supermarket queue… one hand on the trolley, the other replying to DMs.

Stirring dinner with one hand… booking appointments with the other.

This is the not-so-polished side of running your own business.

You think you’ll “reply properly later” — but you know that message has probably taken her days to send. She’s typed it. Deleted it. Wondered if it sounds silly. Nearly talked herself out of it altogether.

So you answer.

Between holes on the course.
Between scanning groceries.
Between checking if the pasta’s about to boil over.

Because behind every “Hi, I’m just wondering…” is a woman building up the courage to put herself first.

And I never want her to feel like she’s chasing me.

Business ownership doesn’t switch off at 5pm. It’s voice notes while unloading shopping. It’s calendar juggling while the garlic bread’s in the oven. It’s caring enough that you don’t wait until it’s perfectly convenient.
