Osteopathy: a natural way to relieve pain and improve mobility.
We have appointments available Wednesday, Thursday and Friday next week.
A common cause of shoulder pain that we see in the clinic is Rotator Cuff Tendinopathy.
Where our shoulders are made up of multiple joints, tendons and muscles, it makes us susceptible to a number of different issues.
The good news?
We can help ease the pain.
We will initially focus our attention on restoring normal movement to the shoulder. Following this, give you stretching exercises for improving range of movement.
“I cannot thank Janine enough for her patience and skills in helping to repair a dislocated and fractured shoulder. She has helped reduce the pain levels and improve the mobility far more than I probably would have been at this point, 9 months later. I owe the full range of motion back in my shoulders all to her. Thank you Janine!”
When you first walk into the practice, you'll most likely be met by our wonderful receptionist, Karen 🤩
Karen is normally your first port of call when making an appointment and she will assist you with any queries you may have.
If you would like to make an appointment call us on 07908415376 and she will be happy to welcome you to the practice.

Are you in pain? Have you tried but not been given any answers? Have you thought about trying Osteopathy?
What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a hands-on approach to healthcare that looks at the body as a whole. Rather than focusing only on where you feel pain, osteopaths aim to understand why symptoms have developed.
Your osteopath will assess how your body moves, including your muscles, joints, posture, and daily activities. Treatment is tailored to you and may include gentle manual techniques, movement advice, and simple exercises to support recovery.
Osteopathy is suitable for all ages and focuses on reducing pain, improving movement, and helping you feel more confident in your body. You’re always welcome to ask questions throughout your appointment.
We have space each week for new patients and would love to meet you. For more details or to book an appointment please visit our website. www.abshotosteos.co.uk or call our clinic mobile number: 07908415376, we would love to hear from you.
Cranial osteopathy offers a versatile approach to treatment suitable for individuals of all ages, with a particular emphasis on its effectiveness for infants and young children, especially in cases where structural-based methods may not be appropriate.
Our skilled Osteopaths harness their well-honed sense of touch, known as palpation, to discern subtle shifts in tension across the body, detecting nuances within muscles, bones, tendons, ligaments and fascia.
Throughout the diagnostic phase of treatment, your Osteopath will naturally gravitate toward areas bearing the traces of trauma or past injuries. This is especially crucial for babies, as the process of childbirth can sometimes impart significant and overlooked traumas to their delicate systems.
At Abshot Osteopathy we help people of all ages with a wide range of issues. Our appointments are face to face with hands on treatment. We have time to take care of you. call 07908415376 or book online via our website. www. abshotosteos.co.uk.

We thought it was about time we re-introduced our incredible osteopaths so our new followers can get to know them! 🙌
Meet Janine, one of our associate osteopaths 🌟
👉Why did Janine become an osteopath...
I hurt my lower back when I was 16 after a gymnastics injury. From there I saw a Chiropractor and had physio at Southampton General Hospital for a number of weeks. I was fascinated with how this multidisciplinary approach could restore health to the body. After researching various careers I found Osteopathy, it was the combination of both manual therapy and rehabilitation which drew me to study Osteopathy at university in London.
👉What does Janine enjoy most about osteopath...
Aside from the obvious of helping people look after their bodies, one of my favourite things about Osteopathy is the fact we’re always learning. We see such a variety of patients from newborns to the elderly therefore we need to make sure our knowledge of various conditions/ailments is up to date.
👉What is Janine's favourite testimonial from a patient...
“You’re a miracle worker.” This was from a patient who had breast cancer and after surgery couldn’t lift their arm due to scarring. We worked with massage, exercise and scar therapy to break down scar tissue and eventually full mobility was restored. The changes this made to the patients quality of life was astounding and I’m so pleased we were able to help!

My name is Hannah Ramsay, I decided to train as an Osteopath after watching my brother come back from a major shoulder injury he sustained whilst skiing. Watching him through his recovery I learned how devastating it can be to be kept from doing the things you love which in his case was playing Hockey for Fareham Men’s first team. I watched many of the treatment sessions during his rehabilitation. It was only when he visited an Osteopath that something just clicked (pardon the pun!) I decided that Osteopathy was the career I wanted to pursue.
After 4 years of study I was over the moon to graduate from The European School of Osteopathy in 2016 with an Integrated Masters Degree in Osteopathy with First Class Honours.
I love working with people of all ages and enjoy getting to know my patients, whilst planning and managing their treatment programmes. I have hands on experience of both Structural and Cranial Osteopathy and further qualifications in Sports Massage, Sports Strapping and Kinesiology taping. These can supplement your treatments if required. I have a particular interest in Paediatric Osteopathy and am seeing an ever increasing number of infants. I am a registered member of both the General Osteopathic Council and the Institute of Osteopathy.
Since qualifying I have worked at Warsash Therapy Rooms, Stubbington Natural Health Clinic and Fareham Hockey Club providing Sports Injury Management and rehabilitation sessions for the Men's 1st Team.
And now I have my own Practice, The Osteopathy and Injury Management Centre based at Abshot Country Club, Little Abshot Road, Titchfield Common.
During my consultations, I will take the time to understand you as an individual. Everyone presents with their own unique combination of symptoms, medical history and lifestyle. Understanding this helps me to make an accurate diagnosis of the causes of the pain or lack of function you may be experiencing rather than solely addressing the site of the condition. Together we will formulate a treatment plan and help you to achieve the best outcome.
Outside of my time spent in clinic I spend most of my free time on the water, whether its kite surfing, wake boarding, paddle boarding or sailing. My preferred holidays are adventurous. I love being in the mountains and exploring new places. I am often found at the beach with my three gorgeous golden retrievers Murphy, Hattie and Archie.
Together with my lovely mum we also volunteer at Southampton’s Children’s Hospital providing Animal Assisted Intervention for the children and their families.
