What an incredible morning bringing birthworkers and midwives together to talk honestly, dream boldly, and re‑imagine what truly person‑centred maternity care can look like.

The passion in the room was unmistakable — from conversations about continuity and informed choice to reflections on community care, homebirth, and the future of midwifery.
Here’s to learning together, lifting each other up and supporting each other to provide compassionate, kind, safe care.

Watch this space for the next date in early May, date TBC.

From Monday 23 March, a section of the main entrance car park at QA Hospital will be temporarily closed for twelve weeks, so that we can safely install solar panels. This is part of a project to make our sites more environmentally friendly and reduce energy costs.

Blue badge/accessible parking spaces will be relocated to the area next to this closed section. This will be clearly signposted. Other parking including our multi-storey North car park and on-road parking will be unaffected and remain available.

During this time, if possible, please consider using other ways to travel to your appointment such as public transport or getting dropped off.

We understand this may concern people planning to attend appointments, so wanted to make you aware. We appreciate your patience and understanding while this important work takes place.
