πŸ“’ Patient Notice

Due to sickness and unforeseen circumstances, we are currently extremely short-staffed on reception. This may result in longer waiting times on the phones.

We understand how frustrating this can be and truly appreciate your patience, kindness, and understanding while our team works hard to continue providing care for all our patients. Thank you for bearing with us.

We are aware of a recent increase in concern regarding meningitis, which has led to a high volume of calls to the practice. The spread is because of the close proximity university students live in together.
At present, there has been no formal update or specific guidance issued by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA). However, we would like to reassure patients that we are monitoring the situation closely.
As a precaution, we strongly encourage anyone aged between 14 and 25 who has not yet received their routine school leaver vaccinations (which includes 5th Tetanus vaccine and the meningitis ACWY vaccine) to contact the practice to arrange an appointment.
For most people, the risk remains low, but vaccination is the most effective way to protect yourself and others. There is no vaccine currently that we can give to over 25 year olds.
If you are experiencing symptoms such as a high temperature, severe headache, sensitivity to light, stiff neck, or a rash that does not fade when pressed, please seek urgent medical attention.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Yesterday after our training session, we headed over to the Independent Cadet Force HQ in Waterlooville for some team building - and what a great afternoon it was!

We put our skills (and concentration!) to the test with some BB gun shooting, which definitely brought out a healthy bit of competition between us. It was a fantastic way to unwind, build teamwork, and do something a little different together.

Found Photograph - Osborne Road

Lat week, we found an old photograph at Osborne Road Surgery with the word β€œDad” written on the back.

It may belong to one of our patients or their family, and we would very much like to return it to its rightful owner.

If you believe this photograph could be yours (or a relative’s), please contact the surgery and we will be happy to assist.

The photograph is being kept safe at the practice.

Please feel free to share this post to help us reunite it with its owner.
