πŸ“’ Branch Surgery Relocation Notice πŸ“’

We would like to inform our patients that The Wootton Street Surgery will be permanently closed from Friday, 10th October 2025.

Starting from Friday, 17th October 2025, services will be provided from our new location:

πŸ₯ Highclere Medical Centre
πŸ“ Northern Road, Cosham, PO6 3EP

This move is part of our ongoing commitment to improving patient care and providing access to enhanced facilities.

We understand this is a significant change and truly appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition.

If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact our reception team.

πŸ™ Thank you for your continued support.

Thank you to everyone who attended their appointment for vaccination today.

We vaccinated an incredible 1,239 people! Sadly, we had 206 DNA's - people who had an appointment but didn't attend for it and didn't cancel it.

As ever, a big thank you to all the staff members who have given up their Saturday morning to ensure our community is kept safe.

πŸŽ‰ Today is the first day of our adult flu clinics for 2025! πŸ’‰
If you're attending, please be aware there may be a short wait β€” but our team will keep things moving quickly and efficiently. ⏱️😊

πŸ“ Your allocated time is your arrival time, not a fixed appointment. Arriving early may lead to unnecessary queues, so please come at your scheduled time to help us keep everything running smoothly.

We're looking forward to seeing you and helping keep our community protected this flu season! 🧑

πŸ’—πŸŒ… Organ Donation Week – 22nd to 28th September πŸŒ…πŸ’—

Let’s turn the skies pink to honour those who sadly died waiting for a transplant. πŸ’”
Every day, someone loses their life while waiting for an organ. Yet most of us would accept a transplant if we needed one. πŸ™ It takes just 2 minutes to confirm your decision on the NHS Organ Donor Register. β±οΈβœ…

πŸ‘‰ https://www.nhsbt.nhs.uk/how-you-can-help/get-involved/tips-and-guidance/turn-the-skies-pink-for-organ-donation-week/

πŸ’‘ Did you know? One donor can save or transform up to 9 lives! πŸ«€πŸ«πŸ§
By saying YES to organ donation, you could give someone a second chance at life. πŸŒˆπŸ’ž
All adults in England are now considered to have agreed to donate unless they’ve opted out or are in an excluded group. It’s never been easier to show your support β€” just update your preferences in the NHS App πŸ“²

Let’s make a difference. Let’s turn the sky pink. πŸ’—πŸŒŒ

For this year's Organ Donation Week we want as many local landmarks and buildings across the country as possible to turn pink, to encourage people to confirm their support for organ donation by adding their name and decision to the NHS Organ Donor Register.

πŸ§ πŸ’¬ Youth Mental Health Day – 19th September πŸ’¬πŸ§

Did you know that 1 in 5 young people aged 8 to 25 are living with a mental health disorder? 😟 Yet, only 40% are able to access the support they need. πŸ’”

This year’s theme is 🀝 β€” because sometimes, the most powerful help comes from each other. πŸ’¬βœ¨

Research shows that peer support can reduce anxiety and depression in young people. When they share their own coping strategies, it not only empowers them but also gives others practical, relatable tools to face their own challenges. πŸ’ͺπŸ’š

Let’s break the stigma. Let’s talk. Let’s support. πŸ’¬πŸ«‚

Join us on 19th September: this year’s YMHD theme, Share Support, encourages us all to connect, share, and access clinically-informed mental health resources.

It's that time of year again - FLU SEASON!

The main vaccination season will run from October and our first clinic will be on Saturday 4th October, followed by Saturday 11th, Saturday 25th and Saturday 1st November. Housebound and Care Home patients will also be started from October.

For those eligible for Covid19 vaccinations - patients aged 75 years and over or patients who are immunosuppressed between the ages of 18 and 74 - we hope to be able to administer your Covid19 vaccination at the same time as your flu vaccination.

Throughout September we will begin vaccinating our Pregnant ladies and children aged 2-3 years old. Any other children will be vaccinated at school and more information about that element of the vaccination process will be communicated by respective schools. We have a 2-3 year old vaccination day on Saturday 20th September and appointments for pregnant ladies on Monday evenings.

All of our Saturdays are available to book now by calling our Care Navigators on the main telephone line or by using the booking link that has been sent to eligible patients.

πŸŽ“ Heading to uni soon? Don’t forget your MenACWY vaccine! πŸ’‰

University life is full of new experiences - but it also means mixing with lots of new people, which increases your risk of meningitis. The MenACWY vaccine protects against four types of meningococcal bacteria that can cause serious illness.

βœ… It’s free βœ… It’s quick βœ… It could save your life

If you’re aged 17 to 25 and starting university this year, contact us to make sure you’ve had it. Protect yourself and your mates - meningitis doesn’t wait.

πŸ“… Book your appointment today and start uni with peace of mind.
