The lads managed to make the papers recently, something we’ve been proudly involved with in the last 6 years.
A lot of work has been put into the D-Day site and its looking really good these days, well worth a visit

Dozens of military veterans have been honoured by placing their names on the Normandy Memorial Wall in Portsmouth.

That personal touch

A client brought a photograph of their family home and asked if we could copy this onto their stone.
Here John is etching the final touches onto the back of the memorial.

Quite a big job moving these two memorials at the Royal Marines Museum in Portsmouth this week.
We originally fitted the 'Cockleshell Heroes' Memorial back in November 2012 sadly with the imminent sale of the museum it needed to be reinstated, along with the 'Gibraltar Rock' memorial, into the remembrance garden.
Just need to come back next week to clean off the Gibralter Rock..

Repainted the 'Soldier of World War 2' memorial and have just fitted another batch of plaques on the Normandy memorial wall at the D-Day Museum, Southsea.

The wall is starting to look really impressive now.

Each plaque, commissioned by friends or relatives, commemorates the name of someone who took part in the D-Day campaign.

Any funds raised are used by the D-Day trust to help preserve the memory of the story of D-Day and the battle of Normandy.

More details on the Trust's work can be found here - https://www.ddaytrust.co.uk/

Soft stone memorials can look very grubby/weathered over time. The good news is they will often come up very well when professionally cleaned.
This is a recent renovation we carried out in a local churchyard.
The family's instructions were to refurbish the stone, add an inscription to the existing book and the original lettering on the kerb stones to be cleaned but not re-leaded.
The family, who were a pleasure to work for, were very pleased with the end result.

We were commissioned by Professor Noel Fitzpatrick to make this cornerstone, totally in awe of the work this guy does and wish him all the best in his new venture.

This is a good example of what can be achieved combining a families ideas and our experience.
Lisa's family had a specific design in mind and working together we managed to create this beautiful and unique memorial in her memory.
