A Heartwarming Visit to Heartbeat ❤️

We had the pleasure of visiting the incredible team at Heartbeat recently. Tanya kindly showed us around their amazing facilities.

We were so busy chatting away that we completely forgot to get a photo together (a sure sign of a great visit!).

Heartbeat’s work is truly inspiring. Based at Heartbeat House in Southampton, they provide a “home-from-home” for families whose loved ones are receiving cardiac care - a calm and supportive space just steps from the hospital. The charity raises vital funds to keep this going through community events, partnerships, and donations, ensuring families can stay close when it matters most.

We’re honoured that Heartbeat has chosen us as their Community Hero for 2025. It’s wonderful to be recognised by a team who share our very same values of compassion, community, and care.

A big thank-you to Tanya for giving us such a warm welcome and showing us around - we can’t wait to collaborate and do some truly heartwarming things together soon. ❤️

Last week Gabrielle and Niamh attended the Careers and Apprenticeships Fair at the Mountbatten Centre. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with young people and share what a rewarding career in care can look like.

We spoke about the wide variety of roles within homecare, the skills you gain, and the difference you can make to people’s lives every single day.

It was inspiring to see so many enthusiastic students interested in building their futures, and we’re proud to showcase care as a career full of growth, learning, and purpose. 🏡🧡

Charlotte took her out for a beautiful stroll along the Portsmouth seafront, showing that great care doesn't just happen at home, it's about independence, and enjoying life’s simple joys.

Mr A’s Road to Independence: First Step Back to Driving 🚗✨🏍️

We are so proud to share an exciting update about Mr A, one of our inspirational Clients.

After a road traffic accident, Mr A’s dream has always been to regain his driving licence and eventually get back on his beloved bike.

It’s been a journey of determination, patience, and hard work and now the ball is well and truly rolling!

Last week, Mr A took part in his first driving simulation, and he did fantastically. This marks a huge milestone - the very first step on the road to getting his licence back and achieving his dream.

We are honoured to be part of his journey and can’t wait to see all the progress ahead. With his positivity and determination, we know this is only the beginning.

Here’s to many more milestones and, one day soon, Mr A back on the open road. 🌟

✨ Celebrating Louise ✨

This week we say a fond farewell to our wonderful Louise, who has been part of our team for the past 4 years. 💙

Louise has been a dedicated and compassionate member of the Right at Home Portsmouth family, making such a difference to the lives of our clients and bringing positivity to her colleagues every single day.

She is now heading onto exciting pastures new in a brand new role, and while we will miss her hugely, we couldn’t be prouder to see her take this next step. 🌟
