Earlier this week, our owners Madeline and Joe had the absolute pleasure of joining one of our lovely clients, Mr WA, and his fantastic Lead Carer, Angela, for lunch.

For those who don’t know, Mr WA and Angela’s incredible journey together was the inspiration behind our Making a Difference Award 2025 - an award we were so proud to receive at this year’s Right at Home Celebration Awards.

Their story is one of trust, compassion, resilience and genuine partnership. Angela’s dedication and the bond she has built with Mr WA encapsulate everything we strive for at Right at Home Portsmouth.

Seeing the two of them together is a powerful reminder of why we do what we do.

Here’s to Mr WA, to Angela, and to truly making a difference every day.

Last night we celebrated something truly special - our very first Right at Home Portsmouth Staff Awards Night, and what a brilliant evening it was!

We came together to honour the incredible people who make our service what it is: compassionate, dedicated, and full of heart. We handed out a whole range of awards, some lovingly nominated by our clients, and others chosen by our team who see the amazing work happening every single day.

Seeing everyone come together, cheer each other on, and recognise the impact they make was genuinely inspiring. 💫
To all our winners and nominees: thank you for everything you do. And to the whole team: you are the reason our clients feel safe, supported, and cared for. We couldn’t be prouder.

A Heartwarming Visit to Heartbeat ❤️

We had the pleasure of visiting the incredible team at Heartbeat recently. Tanya kindly showed us around their amazing facilities.

We were so busy chatting away that we completely forgot to get a photo together (a sure sign of a great visit!).

Heartbeat’s work is truly inspiring. Based at Heartbeat House in Southampton, they provide a “home-from-home” for families whose loved ones are receiving cardiac care - a calm and supportive space just steps from the hospital. The charity raises vital funds to keep this going through community events, partnerships, and donations, ensuring families can stay close when it matters most.

We’re honoured that Heartbeat has chosen us as their Community Hero for 2025. It’s wonderful to be recognised by a team who share our very same values of compassion, community, and care.

A big thank-you to Tanya for giving us such a warm welcome and showing us around - we can’t wait to collaborate and do some truly heartwarming things together soon. ❤️
