Welcome to Southsea Sound, your premier destination for professional recording and rehearsal rooms. We're located at https://what3words.com/heat.across.yoga making it easy for you to find us. Our state-of-the-art facilities are perfect for musicians, bands, and artists who want to create their best work in a comfortable and well-equipped environment. Our day recording rate is only £300 for 8 hours, or you can choose a half-day rate of £200 for 4 hours. If you only need to use our facilities for an hour, we have an hourly rate of £70 available. And don't worry about staying connected – we provide free WiFi to all of our customers. If you need a break from your recording session, the seaside is only a 10-minute walk away. Our rehearsal rooms are available seven days a week and can be booked in four different time slots. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced musician, we cater to all skill levels. You can book your rehearsal room through our website at www.southseasound.co.uk/rehearsals. We have two rooms available for rehearsal – Room 1 (downstairs) and Room 2 (upstairs). Both rooms are air-conditioned and come with a backline, PA, and three microphones as standard. Room 1 can be rented for only £45 for a 3-hour session with all amps and drum breakables included, or £40 for a 3-hour session with only cabs and drum hardware/shells provided. Room 2 is available for £50 for a 3-hour session with all amps and drum breakables included or £45 for a 3-hour session with only cabs and drum hardware/shells provided. because HAPPY 10th BIRTHDAY TO US! To celebrate, we’re asking some (like 8?) fabulous bands to play at on Saturday 28th March, with the full lineup to be announced soon. This is not our actual birthday, but who cares time is a construct and no one wants a party in February.
We are trying to figure out how to do a pay what you feel ticketed event, but once we do, tickets will be up on the Wedge site. Suggested donation structure, £15 if you won’t notice spending £15 otherwise pay what you can with min spend £5. Complicated? Not really! Fair? We hope so. It’s been another wild year. The toughest at times. But a reminder why we do all this at others. As we enter our tenth year (?!!!), we’re full of gratitude for the many people who’ve supported us this last year. for being the home of and our neighbours for being the best venue for and . for being the compère supreme, for giving the team a hilarious place to blow off steam, and .singingteacher for some incredible support at challenging moments, for creating something for us all to be proud of, all the bands who trusted us with their projects .century and those without social media (yet) plus and lots of podcasts, voiceovers, showreels and more. To all the bands who rehearse with us, keep doing what you do. You’re keeping the scene alive. Thanks to for being the best emergency cover crü and for being an all round champ. From and me, have a blinding NYE and a stellar 2026. Xx
