⭐️We are over the moon to welcome Aleah to our growing team as lead IQA⭐️

Aleah has been working with us now since the start of this academic year and we know will be a real asset to our team and to our learners.

Aleah has been a registered dental nurse for over 10 years and has been working within dental education for just under 10 years. After nursing, Aleah began her education career as a dental nurse assessor before then working as an IQA in the last few years. Aleah has gone on to achieve her assessing qualification, Level 3 award and Level 4 Certificate in education and training, Level 4 IQA and more!

Aleah also volunteers with a dental charity travelling overseas to Uganda delivering oral health and setting up remote clinics around the country to help those who don’t have access to dental care. Aleah will be completing her 2nd charity trip back to Uganda in 2026.

When Aleah is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family including 2 dogs and a cat and enjoys ice skating too

NEBDN have changed the dental nursing diploma as of this summer 2025 to what they call the Level 3 Diploma, there are many benefits to this including the course being now valid for UCAS points.

All dental nurses who were already on the course prior to July will continue as they are and complete their exams as normal.

All new trainee dental nurses will now be enrolled on this level 3 diploma which has quite a few changes, in particular to the Record of Competence (now called the Portfolio of evidence)

This does mean that for dental practices that were used to the previous format this will all be quite new. CHANGE is GOOD but it can also be quite daunting. OUR Team are working and training constantly to make sure that this transition is positive and beneficial to everyone involved!

brilliant collection of short stories to help manage different situations and people we encounter in life which is especially helpful for us in the dental profession!

The stories draw on teachings from Taoism but the book is easy to follow, the messages are eye opening and calming and can be dipped into here and there when you have five minutes to spare.
