We were delighted to celebrate an incredible milestone as our Resident Eileen, celebrated her 100th birthday 🎉

On Tuesday, Eileen was surrounded by her family and guests for a special afternoon celebration held in our cinema. The event was beautifully organised, with a wonderful spread prepared by Chef Jerrin and the kitchen team, creating a lovely atmosphere for Eileen and her loved ones to enjoy together.

Eileen’s family were deeply touched by the care and attention that went into making the day so special and shared their heartfelt thanks to the team. The celebration became even more meaningful when heads of departments, team members, and members of the senior management team joined together to sing Happy Birthday — a truly memorable moment.

🤩🫖 Our First Weekend of 2026.. Starting As We Mean To Go On! ☕ 🤩

We had a great day in activities today, starting the morning with a couple of lovely coffee mornings. One was held in the Bistro and the other in Lavender, giving residents a relaxed and welcoming space to come together.

During the sessions, residents took part in word games and daily orientation activities, including discussions around the news and a range of debate-style conversations. Some topics were hotly discussed and even a little controversial, which made for really engaging and meaningful discussion with many residents showing great abilities to engages genuinely with complex ideas and topics.

It was a really positive morning and exactly the kind of stimulating, social activity we love to promote here at Cooperscroft! 💙

This morning, the views from our nursing home are quietly beautiful. A crisp frost covers the grounds, turning the grass and trees white and sparkling, as if the world has been gently dusted with sugar. The pond lies partially frozen, its icy surface catching the light while darker water beneath reflects the sky, creating a calm and peaceful scene.

Above it all, the orange sun rises slowly, warming the horizon with soft colour. Its gentle glow spreads across the frost and ice, bringing contrast and life to the cold morning air. From our windows, the scene feels serene and comforting, a reminder of the simple beauty each new day can bring, even on the coldest of mornings.

Everyone is warmly welcome to come and experience this for themselves, to pause, take in the view, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere that surrounds us on mornings like this.

As we reflect on 2025, we’re incredibly proud of the training journey our nursing home team has shared this year. 🌟
Through commitment and hard work, our team has grown to be more knowledgeable, confident, and truly empowered in their roles. Even more importantly, you’ve continued to support one another, creating a strong, positive, and collaborative environment for both colleagues and residents.

A heartfelt thank you to our team for attending and engaging so positively in training throughout the year. We would also like to extend our thanks to our residents, relatives, and external stakeholders for your ongoing support, encouragement, and partnership, you all play an important role in our continued growth and success.

We look forward with excitement to the progression and growth that 2026 will bring. 💙 Here’s to building on this strong foundation together!

We were delighted to host our Residents, Families, and Community Members for a very special festive Christmas lunch — and what an amazing afternoon it was!

Everyone enjoyed a delicious 3-course festive meal, served with full table service by our incredible team. Huge applause (quite literally 👏) for Chef Jerrin, Milena, Chef Udaye and Kitchen Team, who received claps between every course, and our fantastic Hospitality Team for their attentive service throughout.

From our Hotel Services Manager, Kathlyn, To Wellbeing Lead and Team Zach, Mandy, Moza, Housekeeping Team Angel, Menchie, and Office Manager, Nikitha, who all lent a helping hand during this busy period — teamwork at its very best.

Most importantly, our residents and guests were smiling from the floors to the pantry, enjoying tasty food and spending precious time with their loved ones. It was a heart-warming celebration filled with joy, laughter, and festive spirit.

Thank you to everyone who made this Christmas lunch so special ❤️✨

On Christmas Eve, our home was filled with the sound of carols as our Management Team, Wellbeing Team and other team from various departments went round every floor and every round, making sure no one was missed. It was all about bringing a little Christmas magic to each and every Resident.

What truly made it special was how many of our Residents joined in. From Marianne and Kathleen to Sue, Barry, and many more, the singing, smiles, and shared laughter filled the corridors and warmed our hearts.

We also took the Christmas spirit next door to our sister home at Cuffley Manor Care Home. One of our Residents proudly handed over gifts before we sang a Christmas carol together — a simple but beautiful moment of kindness and community.

This time, he treated everyone to a beautiful strawberry stacked dessert tree – not only delicious but a real showstopper too!
