Brighter days are coming!☀️

For some of us, dark mornings and evenings can make us feel really low. The consistent cold, wet, and windy weather can also impact our mood ☔️

The good news is that we're heading towards spring. And we’re gaining an average of 4 minutes of daylight per day 🌞

Fun fact: The amount of daylight gained varies depending on how far north and south you are

What’s your favourite part about spring?

Do you need some rest and good company? Why not take a look at Fleetwood Methodist Church who have something great to offer.

Details below

We’re not a craft group.

Yes, most weeks there’s something creative going on — but some evenings it’s games, quizzes, food, or simply sitting together and chatting.
If you love crafts, this group is for you.
If you don’t have the time, energy, or patience for colouring, painting, or faffing — this group is for you.
If you’re happiest quietly observing from the corner, you are welcome here.
If you love being part of the conversation and the liveliness, we’ve saved you a seat.
Don’t drink tea? That’s fine — we’ve got cordial, fizzy drinks, coffee, and water.
Like your tea strong with two sugars? I’ll put the kettle on.
Want to arrive half an hour early? The door will be open, the radiators roaring, and you’ll be met with a warm welcome.
Can’t make it every week but fancy dropping in now and then? We’d love that too.
Got a few quid for the donation tin? We appreciate you.
Can’t spare anything this week? We still appreciate you.
This group is about more than crafts. It’s about kindness, togetherness, compassion, and a listening ear.
Please know that you are always welcome, always valued, and always loved ❤️
We are fully inclusive — not just in a practical sense (our building is fully accessible), but in a human one too. If you’ve ever felt like you don’t quite fit in, or like you’ve never been fully understood for who you are, this could be your safe space.
And yes — if bringing your dog helps you feel confident enough to come along, they’re welcome too.

Wyre Nature & Wellbeing 🍄🩷

February is here and while it’s often still cold and grey, nature’s changing colours are transitioning from deep winter to early spring.
Slowing down and intentionally focusing on the subtle but vibrant, small-scale colours that break this winter monotony can lift our mood and boost wellbeing.

This week, The Bay: A Blueprint for Recovery have been lucky enough to see fresh white snowdrops emerging and the deep red of scarlet elf cup fungi. An absolute favourite was noticing the delicate hazel flowers…..their deep pink colour is stunning! 😍

These nature walks are funded through the Sport England

as part of our ‘Getting Active In Nature’ delivery.
