Primrose Bank Residential Care Home Primrose Bank provides Residential, Respite and Senior Day care to people over 65 years of age We are registered and regulated by the CQC.

We are a family run care home in Poulton Le Fylde, recently extended to 45 bedrooms. We provide short and long term care, personal care, rehabilitation and life fulfillment for the over 65s.

We have a week full of everything for our residents this week, let’s have a look at what’s going on…

This morning we’ve played Dominoes and we’ll play Table Curling after lunch which is always fun! 🥌
Tomorrow morning begins with our monthly Communion with Martin from St Chad’s ⛪️, followed by new music from Hannah Delaney after lunch. 🎙️
Jamie from GFitness leads 🏋️our Wednesday morning exercise class, and we’ll have a quiz in the afternoon.⁉️
It’s “eyes down” for Bingo 2️⃣3️⃣ as our first activity on Thursday and our “littles” from Kids Planet Poultonon 👧👦will be back for games just after 2pm.
Our Art Class 🎨 is led by Karl on Friday morning and we’ll round off the week with Axe Throwing 🪓 after some Fish & Chips 🎣🍟

Yesterday was lots of fun 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 We started the day tasting some foods that come from Scotland. We stopped half way for an Irn Bru pallet cleanser which got very mixed reviews! 🤣
After lunch we played the Highland Games which consisted of the Caber Toss 🪵, Welly Throw, and Haggis Roll!

This week is a bit different than usual, with a few activities you typically wouldn’t see.

We start this week with a nod to Robert Burns (which was officially yesterday, but we don’t mind!) with a “Taste of Scotland”. Residents can come along and try a variety of flavours associated with Scotland.
This afternoon we’ll experience the Highland Games, with a mix of challenges for everyone.

Tomorrow morning, we’ll observe Holocaust Memorial Day with a couple of activities that our residents can get involved with if they wish. We have some brand new live music from Jennifer Bardsley after lunch.

On Wednesday we’ll be adding a splash of colour with Flower Arranging in the morning, followed by a quiz in the afternoon.
Bev the Hairdresser will be in the Salon all day too!

Thursday starts with a morning of Bingo, and board games to keep us out of trouble (no chance!) following lunch.

Karl will take the Art Class on Friday morning, with Sonia back to round up the week with a seated Exercise Class.
We’ll also see Jenna back for her monthly visit to paint the ladies nails!

Yesterday we we visited by our ‘littles’ from Kids Planet Poulton
We played with Play-Doh🗿, coloured some beautiful pictures 🖍️, made flower gardens 🌸🌼🌺 and finished by playing with Willow 🐶
One of our residents that recently moved in said “when you haven’t been around children for so long, you forget what joy they bring”

We’ve got a bit of something for everyone this week, let’s have a look…

After lunch this afternoon we’ve got Table Curling 🥌
We start the morning with Dominoes tomorrow, and our Live Music this week is from Dave Bear 🎙️
Jamie from Gfitness 💪 will start us off on Wednesday with a seated exercise class, with a Quiz in the afternoon!
Thursday begins with a game of Bingo, which is followed by a Nursery visit after lunch 👦👧
On Friday, Karl will lead the Art Class 🎨 first thing, and we’ll round up the week by getting stuck into some baking! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Good afternoon everyone, we hope you enjoyed your weekend!
It’s been non-stop here today, so here’s what we’ve been up to, and what we’ve got planned for the rest of the week…

We had a residents meeting this morning to discuss all things activities. This afternoon we made soap 🧼 residents were able to pick a shape, a colour, a scent and a number of textures to add to make it their own.
We’ll start with Dominoes in the morning, and Marianne Correlli joins us for Live Music🎙️in the afternoon.
We’ll add a splash of colour to Wednesday with Flower Arranging bouquet 💐 in the morning followed by a quiz.
Thursday starts with Higher or Lower ⬆️⬇️ , with Bingo making up our afternoon!
Karl returns on Friday for Art Class and we finish the week with an exercise class led by Sonia 🤸‍♀️

Yesterday our ‘littles’ from Kids Planet Poulton came to play for the afternoon. It’s the first time we’ve seen them since Christmas so everyone had lots to say about Santa.
We played some table games and got stuck into Play-Doh, which we all enjoyed! ❤️

On the 26th January 2018, Bryan turned up to PRB after being booked to sing for the first time.
The residents loved him, and that’s where our friendship began! Since then Bryan has not only entertained us many times, but supported us at charity and community events. He became part of the PRB family.
Yesterday, Bryan and Janet sang together for us for the last time as we said farewell and good luck to Bryan as he looks forward to retirement.

From all of us here at PRB, thank you for the music. 🎶 ❤️
