A lot of work has gone into this year. Thank you for following and being a part of the community.
My life mission is to serve in the wellbeing space and to be an innovative leader who uses unconventional methods to help the workforce improve inclusion, exit survival mode, manage stress, increase resilience and adopt more productive thinking habits.
Stay tuned in 2025 to keep seeing me push the boundaries and building within this space.
I appreciate the support!

World Mental Health Day: 10th October
I was honoured to be invited to speak at mental health breakfast to give my insights into how we can manage our Mental Health at Work focusing on the three areas of workplace wellbeing: the individual, the community and the corporation.
Thank you for the invitation and your support. ✌🏾

Last weekend, I had the pleasure of teaching one of my signature workshops at yearly festival .

I closed the day with a sold out workshop and here is a couple of the key takeaways that I taught:

1. We can transform stress to make us stronger. By working on proper optimism, going through stress can make us more resilient and adaptable.

2. No matter where you are in your life, you can learn how to manage stress better. Sometimes we feel like our lives are just the way they are but there is real evidence that shows us that physiologically we can improve our response to stressful situations.

3. Understand your stress reducing toolkit. Some of the tools you use to unwind can either be having no effect or having a negative effect on your ability to recover from stress.

It was a pleasure as always and looking forward to the Manchester Happy Place Festival in August!

‘Our success depends on how well we manage our internal world’

It’s amazing to have one the best athletes in the world wearing technology for us to see the unseen.

If you have been following the Euros 2024 and caught Portugal’s last game, there was a situation where Ronaldo missed a penalty during the game and he was visibly distraught.

The game ended and it went to penalties where Ronaldo was going to take the first one.
The image shows how he was able to manage his internal state and external pressure to execute which resulted in Portugal winning the shootout.

The moral of this is it doesn’t matter what happens to us, it’s all about how we respond to those events which will dictate our success.
Thanks

Been doing a lot of work with my clients (and myself) with confidence and how we can develop a greater sense of confidence in who we are and what we are able to achieve. Here is a couple of points I’ve learnt that I’ll like to share:

1. Confidence comes from persistence and repetition- the more you practice and persist with training your mind and body to respond in an ideal way, the better it becomes

2. Confidence comes from limiting negative self-talk- become aware of the internal and external voices which are diminishing your confidence

3. Confident people interpret feedback how they choose to- optimism gives a greater sense of confidence as it underlines that success is possible in every and all circumstances.

I left this here as I thought it may serve you but also as a constant reminder to me when I see this post. Situations in life will knock you down and sometimes you need a reminder to stay up, keep up and keep going.

This event is personal to me!
A couple of weeks ago, I was approached by .aos to aid in their workshop aiding cancer patients in their recovery.
If you know my story, my dad was diagnosed with cancer a couple years ago. Looking at his life, one of my missions is to provide hard working individuals, like my dad, with effective coping tools to manage the day to day stresses we all experience.
This is something we rarely talk about, especially in the black community, and what we typically do is numb ourselves with stimulants.
If you, or anyone you know, wants to come & listen in a room full of people truly ready to learn, please book and come along!

Affirmation without discipline is the start of delusion.
Unless you labour, all the wonders of the world will not be available to you. Affirmation and labour directs your labour towards your desired goal.

Thought of the day: Rest shouldn’t be for a moment longer than necessary.

We are supposed to act. To be, to build, to create, to collaborate and to work. In order to do these things well and at a good standard, effective rest is needed. Without it, we deliver sub-par results and outcomes.
So rest is a necessity, but it isn’t something we should look to desire for any longer than is necessary. This can lead to procrastination, laziness, complacency and no motivation.

Our real problem is that we have become ineffective as resting, so we feel we need more and more.
Once we get that balance right, then we are able to achieve great things.

Let me know your thoughts. Do you agree?

Last week, I had the pleasure of joining Fearne Cotton on stage at her event launching her new book ‘Little Things’, a positive toolkit book to aid when life becomes stressful.
We spoke about stress optimisation tools, physiological practices and mental frameworks to promote stress resilience and effective stress reduction.
So I would like to ask my followers:
What is your number one stress reduction practice?

I’m over 10 years in!

In 2013, I came up with the idea to create Stress-Less Fitness, a combination of training for physical fitness and mental strength.
With no experience and no money, just a vision, a couple of wonderful people around me and the drive to create myself. Was it easy? No. Did I have a multitude of things go wrong? Yes.
Now looking at 2024, this is going to be my best year yet.
This is a message to anyone on the journey. Stay true to your mission and breathe your way through the tough times.
