Joanna Massages - Ayurvedic Yoga Massage, Reiki, quantum healing In a world that's constantly on the run, I'm an advocate for rest & living in close communication wi Stillness is the birth point of creation.

Hi, I'm Joanna
Ayurvedic Yoga Massage therapist, vibroacoustic massage therapist, energy healer & crystal intuitive
In a world that's constantly on the run, I'm an advocate for rest & living in close communication with your body and cultivating deep body (both physical and energetic) awareness through rest stillness & embodied self-connection. And I am here to support you in learning how to rest,

be still and feel more embodied so you can expand from the place of ease and flow. The world doesn't need more burnt out, disconnected people, it needs you FULL. I'm here to help you fill up your cup.

My mission is to help you carve out more time for self-care, develop greater awareness of your physical & energetic body, feel more open, clear, spacious, inspired & empowered. I want you to connect to your true self from the place of stillness at which you arrive during the treatment so you can show up in the world as your most harmonious, sovereign & empowered self and inspire others to do the same.

Changing the world, bit by bit, angels! ✌🏻

Many reps, much sweat, and plenty of electrolytes went into this journey over the past 16 months - and now I can teach you some calisthenics!! 🤸🏻✨

Bodyweight training has been empowering, humbling, and seriously fun. I’ve built strength, tenacity, better posture, and a deep respect for what consistency - paired with play and a sense of community - can do. It’s brought me new friendships and a real sense of self-empowerment.

I only started my movement journey about 10 years ago, and only started cali 16 months ago!!, so let me tell you: it is never too late.

I know my journey has already inspired a few people, and I want to keep doing that - not just through words, but by creating spaces where others can explore their own limits, improve mobility, and build strength, endurance, and resilience.
kulture coaches have been incredible — so generous with their knowledge, encouragement, and just the right amount of banter. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and equally aware that this is only the beginning.
And I’m so gassed to keep learning, growing, and sharing.

My goal?
To create fun, empowering classes that feel like safer, playful and structured spaces — where you can connect to your body, challenge yourself, meet your edges and remember just how strong, capable, and adaptable you really are 💪🏻🔥✨
sensei & thanks for facilitating such a rich in learning and insights teacher training 🙏🏻

thanks for coaching me all these months and fully infecting me with your love for cali 🙏🏻

Pass it on. Because words carry energy - and this work deserves better. ***rbodywork ***rmassage

Community is where you build it.

Maybe you’re lucky and stumble upon it and find that sense of belonging without even trying.
Or maybe you build it from scratch, slowly, intentionally. Either way, your involvement is necessary.
It doesn’t grow without you.

So if you’re craving that feeling, I encourage you to smile, say hi, start a chat.
Be kind. Be open in the places you visit.
Social anxiety is real—you don’t have to tell me!
But you never know who might become your new friend, or who might unexpectedly offer you that sweet, soul-softening feeling of connection and belonging.

I’ve shared a bunch about how much I crave community, and how lonely urban London living can feel. I know so many of you feel the same.

In my search for community, I’ve realised I can build it wherever I go. It doesn’t have to be a shared farmhouse in Portugal (though it totally could be). It could also be your local coffee shop. A sofa, a Netflix night, wrapped in blankets and arms with friends who help you co-regulate while you watch a film. A yoga studio. A park bench. A workshop.

Community isn’t really a place—it’s a feeling. It’s people. It’s shared values, shared joy, shared play—and often, shared pain. It’s the humanness we meet each other in, and the belonging we create when we do.

Ps. I ran out of tags on the post so if you’re not tagged it’s not me, it’s ig

Social anxiety is a real thing you don’t have to tell me 🤪 but you never know who will become your new friend and who can unexpectedly gift you a gift of that sweet feeling of connection and belonging.

I’ve shared a bunch about how much I craved community and how lonely urban London living can feel. I know many many many of you feel the same.

In my search for community I realise I can built it wherever I go. It doesn’t have to be a farm land in Portugal sharing land and housing with other people. It can of course.
But it can also be your local coffee shop, a sofa Netflix and chill with friends who also like to wrap themselves around you and co-regulate as you watch a film, it can be yoga studio or a gym or maybe even your block of flats!! (radical innit! 😜)

Essentially community is not a place but a feeling, it’s the people and the sense of belonging and shared values, shared joy, shared play and often shared pain, a shared humanness.

Just realised on this day last year I attended one of the workshops with my teacher and got to meet irl some of my peers ☺️🫶🏻 at the .co

And today I’m working on my own embodiment workshop that I’m about to trial run next week 😚

Yay!

Excited to share some of the tools and skills I developed that have drastically improved my quality of life, especially being a neurospicy person (adhd/autistic)

I think there is a huge misconception about how much healers are earning (unless they have another job)
Yes, I’m gonna talk about the taboo again.

I hear people’s reactions to my prices sometimes (which are actually lower than some practitioners who I know offer mediocre treatments).
And I get that if you are not in the business you have no idea how much it costs to do it.
You may think I am living a very comfortable life asking for £80 for an hour of my time but do you ever think how much it costs to do my work?

So let me break it to you.
I need to make almost £1k each month just to pay for the treatment room rental. Yes, I have to pay that just so I can offer my treatments.
On top of that goes insurance, website, scheduling system a bunch of other software that help me keep everything ticking. There’s also products, oils, essential oils, endless laundry I am doing I’m my time outside of the studio, not to mention trainings because I have to constantly learn to keep up in the game and be able to offer you a valuable service.
There’s also creating content, writing newsletters, creating offers and all the tech and graphic design that I do all myself with no hourly rate.

My business expenses each year are more than 50% of my earnings.
Then from that 50% I have to pay 20% tax.

I’m not saying this for your pity.
I’m saying this to open your eyes to something here.
This isn’t a life I chose because it’s kooshty. Being self employed is demanding, holding space for people 1:1 is a lot emotionally, energetically, physically, delivering high value physical treatments is a lot on the body and I can’t do it when I’m not well, which means constantly balancing my own health and capacity with my ability to make a living for myself in this crazy city.
I don’t have a paid annual leave allowance or health benefits from an employer. I don’t have HR to complain to, I have to deal with inappropriate clients myself and from my latest reels I think I you see this happens often.

So, next time you want to comment on how much someone asks as a payment for their service, maybe have a little moment to think what it may be like to be in their shoes.

Some stuff I’ve been reading lately + a fave Pleasure activism I keep endlessly revisiting.

Safe to say, I have a massive idealist & revolutionist heart. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I believe you have to experience the world to be able to change the world.

And by experience I mean taste all the flavours, the beauty and the suffering, isolation and connection, joy and rage and love and grief, victory and injustice.

36 years on this wild planet and I have changed so much, grown so much and continuously living this process of growth it’s really impossible to not believe that a larger, collective shift is not possible. And especially if you read books, watch films, listen to music and talks that broadcast your values.
It’s out there, it’s happening. We’re critiquing the status quo and slowly building new structures.
Bit by bit, person by person, choice by choice, relationship by relationship, community by community.
With commitment, patience, kindness and grace to oneself and one another.

Idk, am I just preaching from my idealistic pisces moon heart? Whatever. I am and forever will be a dreamer and I will keep frigging dreaming a new reality for as long as I’m hanging out here in this funny lil avatar of a person.

But I got sidetracked lol I just wanted to share some cool books that got me crying and fist pumping into the air screaming yes yes yes yes yes so you can do that too.

Ly xx

This one is gonna speak to the capricorns out there, I reckon 😆

And if you read all the slides I bet you’ll be granted extra leg room at your seat in heaven 💺🤪

Some people get impatient or annoyed sometimes when they ask ‘but what do I do?’ and I bounce it back to them ‘but what do you want to do? what do you feel like is the thing to do?’.

And I knooow I know we how much we all have a part of us that wants to be walked by the hand through moments in life.

But isn’t it so much more empowering to know *you* have agency over your life?
(yes, whilst living within the disempowering systemic structures, I am not forgetting about this bit, trust me, but even here we have a choice - saying this as a neurodivergent q***r, trans working class immigrant lol so trust me, I know a thing or 6 about systemic disempowerment yet still practice my own sovereignty wherever I can!)

Our Story

My mission is to help you carve out more time for self-care, develop a greater body awareness, make you feel more open and spacious, and connect to your true self from the place of stillness which you arrive at during the treatment.

I am a great believer in the connection between the mind, body and spirit and I treat my clients holistically, adjusting each session to suit individual clients’ needs.

I believe that communication and trust between the therapist and the client are invaluable to good treatment, therefore I take my time attentively consulting my clients and actively listening to their bodies’ needs.

Each treatment is bespoke and depending on the client, can be relaxing, energising, soothing, deep or remedial, whatever the body needs on the day. I am a mobile massage therapist - I offer treatments in the comfort of your home. To provide ultimate comfort, I will travel to you and bring my signature blends of essential oils, organic almond oil, Calamus powder and electric blanket, so you don't need to worry about travelling home in your blissed-out post-massage state. I’m happy to see clients based in North, East and Central London, however, depending on your location and my availability I may also be able to travel to West and South London To book a treatment or if you have any questions, get in touch and let’s chat. email: joanna.sekieta@gmail.com mobile: +44 (0) 7761872672
