In Loving Memory of Freda Crehan

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Freda Crehan, who passed away peacefully on 10th October at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, aged 91 years.

Freda was a much-loved Wife to the late Michael, a loving Mum to Sandra, Philip and late Michael, a devoted Grandmother to Sophie, Shelley and James and Great Grandmother to Daniel, Scarlett, Rory, Edie and Vincent.

She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.

Freda’s Celebration of Life will take place at Carleton Crematorium on Friday 7th November at 11:00am.

Following the service, you are warmly invited to raise a glass to Freda at The Squash Club, Knott End.

Donations, if so desired, may be given in memory of Freda to:
The British Heart Foundation or Trinity Hospice.

He was the beloved husband of the late Pauline for over 70 years, and a loving father, grandfather, uncle and friend.
Derek will be remembered as a Blackpool optician and spent his long retirement enjoying his lifelong loves of travel, sailing, golf and cricket.

Derek’s Funeral Service will take place at 2:00pm on Friday 24th October 2025 at: Carleton Crematorium, Stocks Lane, Carleton, Blackpool, FY6 7QS.

At the request of Simon’s family and with their permission, we are deeply saddened to announce that Simon passed away peacefully in hospital on 30th September 2025, aged 58 years.
A devoted husband to Diane, a dearly loved Dad and Grandad, Simon was also a valued friend to many. He was extremely well known and respected throughout the Over Wyre community and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Simon’s Funeral Service will take place at Carleton Crematorium on Wednesday 22nd October 2025 at 12:30pm.
On the way to the crematorium, the cortege will pause outside The Clock in the Square, Knott End, at approximately 11:45am, for those wishing to pay their respects who are unable to attend the service.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen Webster, who passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on 13th September 2025, aged 66 years.

Stephen was a much-loved husband to Julie, a devoted dad to Marcus, Callum, and Abbie, and a cherished grandad. He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.

Stephen’s funeral service will take place on Friday 3rd October 2025 at 1:00pm at St James' Church, Stalmine, followed by a cremation.

Following the service, you are warmly invited to join the family to share memories and refreshments at Knott End Golf Club.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Liam James Benn Wardle, aged just 17 years.
Liam was a bright and beautiful soul who brought joy and love into the lives of all who knew him. Despite his challenges, he lived his life full of happiness and smiles. Deeply loved by his mum Antonia, dad Mark, and his younger brothers Bentley and Maverick-Jeff, Liam was also a cherished grandson, whose warmth and spirit touched many.
Liam’s passing leaves a space that can never be filled, but he leaves behind countless precious memories of laughter, love, and joy. He will be forever missed and remembered.
A funeral service to celebrate Liam’s life will take place on Friday 19th September at 1:00 PM at St John's Church, Pilling. Followed by burial.
All who knew and loved Liam are warmly invited to attend and honour his memory.

Today, Moons visited the North West Air Ambulance base at Barton. It was a real privilege to have a tour of the base and learn more about the incredible, life-saving work this much-needed charity carries out every day. (We even got a sit in this amazing helicopter)
We were also introduced to their beautiful new Memory Wall — a special space created to keep memories flying forever. It offers families and friends a place to share treasured memories and celebrate the lives of loved ones in a lasting and meaningful way. ❤️
