A dearly loved wife to Barton, much loved Mum to Emma and Amy, Mother -in-law to Jamie and Damian and cherished Granny to Jasper, Ralph, Seth and Ivy.
Cynthia will be sadly missed.

Cynthia’s funeral service will be held at Pilling Methodist Church, on
Wednesday 18th March 2026 at 11:00am prior to burial in the Churchyard.

You are all welcome to The Elletsons Arms, Pilling directly after to service to share refreshment and memories of Cynthia.

Anne’s funeral service will be held at Elswick United Reform Church, Elswick, on Friday 20th March at 11:00am prior to burial in the Church Garden.

Brian Wilfred Armistead

At the request of Brian's family and loved ones and with their permission we sadly announce that on the 21st February 2026 Brian passed away peacefully aged 71 years.

Much loved husband of the late Kate Armistead, Dad to Jane, Rob and Sue, dear Father-in-Law, cherished Grandad, and loving Partner to Pauline.

Brian will be sadly missed by all his family and friends; Brian was a true character in the local community and the leader of the Desperate Dan tractor pulling team.

Brian’s funeral service will take place at St. John’s Church Pilling on Saturday 14th March 2026 at 1:30pm. Followed by a private family only burial.

You are welcome to Pilling Village Hall directly after the service to share in your memories of Brian.

Family flowers only please, donations in memory of Brian will be gratefully received for Great Eccleston Cancer Research - these may be given directly to the funeral director or there will be an opportunity to donate at the funeral service.

At the request of Peggy’s family and with their permission, we sadly announce on 12th February 2026, Peggy passed away aged 94 years.

Peggy formally of Fold House Park, Pilling was the much-loved wife of the late Howard, loving Mum to Shane and the late Tracy, cherished Grandmother to Jordan and Great Grandmother.

Peggy will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.

Peggy’s funeral service will take place at St John’s Church, Pilling on Thursday 5th March 2026 at 11.00am prior to burial, where Peggy will be laid to rest with Howard.

At the request of Leo’s family, and with their permission, we sadly announce that Leo passed away at home on Tuesday 10th February 2026, aged 89 and three quarters.
Leo was a much-loved husband to Margaret, having just celebrated their 68th Wedding Anniversary. He was a loving father to Suzanne, John, Michael, Kathy and Kevin, an adored father-in-law and a cherished Grandad and Great Grandad.
Leo will be sadly missed by all his family and friends the world over.
Leo’s funeral service will take place at St Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church , Knott End on Sea, FY6 0AX on Friday 6th March, at 12 noon prior to burial at Preesall Cemetery. For those unable to travel, a live stream will be made available.
The dress code is whatever you are comfortable wearing. Black is fine, but equally, Margaret and the family would be more than happy for you to bring as much colour as you like to brighten this sad occasion.
No flowers please. Donations in memory of Leo will be gratefully received for Dementia UK. Alternatively, if you’d like Leo’s joy for life to thrive in the garden where he loved to sit and watch things growing, rooted or potted plants would also be gratefully received. These may be given directly to the Funeral Director, or there will be an opportunity to donate at the funeral service.
