A sports massage is a type of massage that involves the stimulation and manipulation of soft tissues within the body; primarily, but not exclusively, that of a sportsperson or an athlete. It branches out into four constituent sub-types, which are pre- event, post - event, restorative and rehabilitave sports massage.

Resolving issues such as chronic pain, recurring injury, restricted range of motion, any imbalances within the soft tissue.

The ability to target certain areas, which aims to keep the body in optimal condition.

This treatment isn't just for people who are physically active. The techniques used will depend on the person's tolerance of pressure and flexibility of their body and their overall health.
