We’re excited to announce that our Strictly Glitter Ball is back for 2026 - and it’s already shaping up to be a show to remember!✨

On Saturday 24th October 2026, our brave novice dancers will take to the dancefloor at our Strictly Glitter Ball, performing live in front of a packed audience for an unforgettable night of sparkle, entertainment and fundraising 💃🕺

Inspired by the much-loved Strictly show, each contestant will be paired with a professional dancer from Silhouette Dance Club and will spend weeks training to perfect their routine.

From elegant ballroom to high-energy Latin, expect dazzling performances, big smiles and plenty of sparkle!

🪩And we are beyond delighted to share that Frodshams Solicitors are once again proudly sponsoring the night! 🪩

We are thrilled to announce that our volunteer, Sue Kirkham is another lucky recipient of Willowbrook’s partnership with Room to Reward for her voluntary work for Willowbrook for her work with the Bereavement Team and our Chatty cafes.

Room to Reward is an incredible charity dedicated to recognising the often-overlooked efforts of volunteers – the Hidden Heroes. These selfless individuals donate their time to make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.

Through its network of hotel and holiday park partners, Room to Reward provides unsold rooms to charities and community groups, offering volunteers a well-deserved break in recognition of their extraordinary contributions.

Now on display in our reception, our mini Memory Tree offers a beautiful way to see and experience this special tribute up close.

The handcrafted copper leaves mirror those on our full Memory Tree and can be personally engraved in memory of a loved one. Each leaf represents a life remembered, a story cherished, and love that continues beyond loss 🍂

The Memory Tree is situated in our hospice garden as a peaceful space for reflection, while this mini version helps illustrate how your dedication will look and the lasting impact it creates.

Our Christmas Tree Recycling Collection is officially complete – and what an incredible result! Thanks to the generosity and support of our community, we raised over £13,000 to help fund vital hospice care at Willowbrook Hospice 💚

This simply wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing organisations and individuals who got behind us:

✨Thank You Tuesday ✨

WHAT AN INCREDIBLE TEAM EFFORT!

We want to say a massive THANK YOU to the inspirational duo, Lee Guy and Jamie Ryan for completing their phenomenal 26-hour running challenge at the BrewDog Stadium. Covering an incredible 85 miles and raising £2,112 for Willowbrook Hospice is no small feat 👏

But this challenge wasn’t done alone. A huge thank you as well to everyone who came along to run, walk, support, cheer, and keep them company, whether it was one lap, half an hour, or several hours. Your encouragement, energy, and community spirit helped carry Lee and Jamie through every mile.

This is what makes Willowbrook Hospice so special, people coming together to support compassionate care for patients and families when they need us most 💙💚

And the best part? Lee and Jamie already have big plans for their next challenge… and we can’t wait to share what’s coming next 👀

🥾 Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge
📅 16 May 2026
Take on Ingleborough, Pen-y-ghent and Whernside in this iconic 24-mile challenge with over 5,000ft of ascent – all in one day!

🌅 Edale Skyline Challenge
📅 5 September 2026
A stunning 21-mile circular route through the Peak District, starting and finishing in Edale, with 1,218m of ascent and breathtaking views throughout.

Both challenges includes a Willowbrook T shirt, transportation and support, with a £75 registration fee and a £500 sponsorship target– every step you take helps us continue providing compassionate care to our patients and families.
