We’re proud to share that our supporter Daniel Abbott, is taking on incredible challenges for Willowbrook Hospice 💙💚

Willowbrook cared for both Daniel’s Nan and Grandad, making our hospice especially close to his heart.

He recently completed his first ever Manchester Marathon in an amazing 3:50:23 👏 – and he’s not stopping there!

Next, he’ll take on the Bala Standard Triathlon this September 🏊‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️ Thank you so much Daniel!

💫Thank You Tuesday 💫

A team of nine amazing supporters from Amazon.co.uk Man8 RME in Haydock, took on the challenge of walking across the North Yorkshire Moors in aid of Willowbrook Hospice and what an achievement it was 💪

Despite tired legs and a few blisters along the way, the team successfully completed the walk, sharing a great day filled with teamwork, determination, and plenty of smiles.

So far, the team has raised £530, with plans to continue with plans for more fundraising over the next year and build on this fantastic start.

Supporting Willowbrook was a natural choice. Like so many in the community, each team member knows someone who has been supported by the incredible care they provide, making this challenge all the more meaningful.

A huge thank you goes out to everyone who has supported, encouraged, and donated. 💙💚

We’re incredibly proud to share that Willowbrook Hospice will be one of 34 hospices benefiting from the amazing funds raised at this year’s Hospice Cup 💙💚

Hosted by West Community Stars Football Club , this fantastic event brings together 6 teams and 120 players for a full day of football, entertainment, and community spirit – all with one shared goal: to raise vital funds for hospices across the North West.

This year, Willowbrook Hospice has an exciting line-up of community events and fundraising challenges – bringing people together for fun, fitness, and most importantly, to support local patients and families when they need it most.

From colourful community celebrations to adrenaline-filled challenges and feel-good fundraising days, there really is something for everyone:

🌼 Plant Sale (8–9 May 2026) – A perfect spring day out to stock up your garden while supporting hospice care
🧗‍♀️ Leasowe Lighthouse Abseil (13 June) - experience the spectacular view from the lamp room at the top of the lighthouse followed by the abseil from the balcony.
🎯 Darts Tournament (June – July 2026) – Friendly competition with weekly prizes and community spirit (in partnership with St Helens Darts Shop and sponsored by Debbie Bennett Independent Funeral Directors.
🌈 St Helens Colour Run (4 July 2026) – A fun, family-friendly 4K bursting with colour and energy - In partnership with St Helens Borough Council and sponsored by 2U Food.
🪂 Skydive (29 August 2026) – The ultimate thrill for those ready to take fundraising to new heights - sponsored by MD Sports Solutions and Pyramid Leisure Club St Helens

This weekend, Louisa Riley is taking on the London Marathon in memory of her much-loved mother-in-law, Alice, who was cared for by Willowbrook.

With the incredible support of her family, Louisa has already raised over £3,000 – including help from her daughter, who recently sold raffle tickets at a charity golf day. 💙💚

Louisa, we’re wishing you the very best of luck for race day. Your dedication, strength, and commitment to supporting Willowbrook is truly inspiring, and we are so grateful for everything you’ve done!
