CERVICAL SCREENING AWARENESS WEEK 16thβ€”20th June 2025

Did you know that nearly 1 in 3 don't attend their cervical screening test?

Cervical screening is for anyone who has a cervix. It is important to have, even if you have had the HPV vaccination. The vaccination protects against the most common types of high-risk HPV that cause cervical cancers. But it does not protect against all types.

It is safe to have cervical screening if you are pregnant, but you can usually delay it if you prefer. If you undergo the test whilst during pregnancy this may cause a small amount of bleeding afterwards. This is normal and does not affect your baby.

Please call the practice to book your appointment if you have been invited to do so.
