One of the biggest questions I get asked is “which massage should I book?” What I want you to know is that with Janine, it’s not a one size fits all approach.
This lovely regular client came in today for “Fusion Clinical Massage” when we talked about what was bothering her today it was her feet! So a totally different approach to normal. We started at the feet with some detailed Fusion foot work and incorporated a little bit of targeted reflexology with this. Then we started to look up the fascial train. Using hot stones to relax the fascia and start to work into the muscle we uncovered some trigger points. With the clients agreement we used some cups to release the myofascia and enable to to work the trigger points with reduced pain. In the treatment we also worked the back, and hands, always listening to what the body is telling us as when working the back, the client could feel a pull in the hamstrings so using the same method of heat, fascia release, cupping and trigger points work we released the hamstring.
I often finish by working on the scalp but today my curly girl had just washed her hair, so we avoided that and finished with some deep breathing.
So, there we have it, a totally bespoke treatment for this lady, and an insight into what we do in a treatment.
Obviously, we can just do the lovely relaxing, gentle flowing work too, but sometimes the body needs something a bit different.
During one of these clinical treatments, we always focus on relaxation, I don’t believe in the no pain, no gain per se, there are times when things are a little more uncomfortable, but we work within what you can cope with and communicate throughout.
If you want this, you need to book online with Janine, appointments available in Darwen next week and Fulwood from 12th Feb.
