During a recent assessment, I identified a severely inflamed ear canal. Minimal contact caused minor bleeding, confirming the tissue was too irritated for safe treatment.

Action Taken: I stopped the procedure immediately. Microsuction on an infected or inflamed ear is unsafe and painful.

The Plan: The client has been referred to their GP for treatment. I will return to safely clear the wax once the infection has healed.
