So after ending the year on a high note I then went away and suffered what has now been diagnosed as a partial tear of my pectoralis Major (up at my collarbone basically)
No pushing, pulling or pressing for a number of weeks and just trying my best to keep it somewhat mobile πŸ˜“

Three weeks ago I had it all mapped out.. I was FINALLY going to get on the content grind and start building myself/my brand across social media. Boom. Another set back.

After a couple weeks in a bit of a heavy slump and again turning to everything I shouldn't be eating I ended up feeling much worse than I should have been feeling.
* Even as a personal trainer it can be hard to match the efforts/motivation yourself through setbacks.

Silver lining... It gives me time to really dial in the diet... Build up legs and smash hell out of cardio since it's literally all I can do just now. (Already coming along nicely and leaning out on track)

Just a small hurdle.

So in just 13 days I (Dean) will be in this business for my first year! 😁 Then 10 days later marks a full year of getting to coach this wonderful human being.
Christine came to me with mobility issues and reoccurring injuries tied directly to these..
To be able to watch her come from being able to perform about 1/3 of a squat to now performing all different variations to full depth with weight is by far my most noticeable improvement (she will tell you it's her upper body strength she's discovered though ) Touch wood... A bonus is she has had no issues with any of the reoccurring injuries she had at day 1!!

I currently have space for another handful of clients and underway opening up slots for online/hybrid coaching as well

Happy Throwback Friday πŸ“ΈπŸ“Έ

As a Personal Trainer majority of people just assume you are or have always been in reasonable shape and can't empathize with clients struggling.. personally that is not the case.

From topping out at 20st and now floating around the 16st mark (currently cutting down) I'm fully aware of the struggles and complications that excess weight can bring... Top that off with struggling personally with Crohn's Im only too familiar with struggles.

I say it all the time but seriously... Take photos along your journey. You don't need to post them either, keep them for personal motivation, I'm just posting these to help push people into making a change!
