Dear Yogis,
At this strange time where the ground seems to be shifting continuously beneath our feet, keeping up our Yoga practice feels like a very important and compassionate thing to do. Yoga can help us gain a real sense of stability in mind and body as well as some much needed calming and soothing.
My fellow yoga teachers at Creative Calm have switched to offering all classes online via Zoom. It is going well so far. I am due to start teaching via Zoom on Monday. This is sooooo far out of my comfort zone but I have a great desire to continue to share yoga with my students and to keep working! I have an even greater desire to play my part in keeping our wonderful Creative Calm Yoga studio alive and in business at this very challenging time. If students keep coming and paying for online classes, I can keep paying rent.
How does Zoom work?
You e mail me to book onto a class. Upon receipt of payment, I send you an e mail link. Ten minutes before the start of the class you can enter the 'meeting' (the class) You see me large on your screen and you also see your fellow students in little boxes around the edge. You can't really see other students in detail but you get a sense of being in a class with others-and that feels like a yoga community which is important. We may be practising alone at home but there is a feeling that we are all together.
You can also book onto a class via creative-calm.com and you will be sent a link in the same way.
Zoom can work on ipads and phones but you will need to get the Zoom app first.
I really hope you are able to continue attending classes in this new way. Please e mail me to book.
Monday 7.30-8.45 p.m, Wednesday 10-11 a.m, Thursday 6-7.15 p.m
