Hi Everyone we are looking at putting on some free training for PA's are there any areas, topics or knowledge gaps that you would like further training on
Examples could be moving and handling, First aid, communication strategies, positive behavioral support.
We would welcome your ideas and input

Rick (not his real name) is 27 year old who lives at home with his family in OLDHAM
Support will be socially and at home. Rick has lots of interests! He likes music, concerts, attending weekly social clubs, eating out, spending time with friends, shopping, watching live football, playing pool, seated skiing at the Chill Factore, and new experiences.
Rick needs 1:1 support with all aspects of his life. Supporting with communication, using various methods including his communication book. Mum will show you how to support Rick with using this.
Rick needs some Personal care, including showering, dressing & un******ng, toileting, cleaning teeth. Feeding and giving drinks with s.a.l.t. feeding guideline. Hoisting, & manual handling. Giving oral medication & asthma inhalers. Basic food preparation. But the most important aspect of this role is to ensure Rick is Having fun!
Ricks ideal PA needs to be kind, caring, reliable, consistent and energetic.
Previous experience of supporting people with additional needs would be an advantage. However, full training will be given, and more importantly, it is just the right attitude and values. It would be ideal if you are a car driver.
Pay is £12.60ph payrise pending for April

02 Harry (not his real name) lives at home with his family in SHAW OLDHAM.
Harry likes going for a ride out in his wheel chair to the park, going round the shops looking at the big tvs, fish/animals just likes being out & about loves Ikea. He doesn't like places like farm parks/ theme parks. He likes to go swimming and to the trafford centre
Harry is looking for support on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 6 hours.
You will need to be a driver as Harry has a wheelchair adapted vehicle.
Harry has an existing PA so there are opportunities to Shadow

Max (not his real name) is an 8 year who lives with his family in HEYWOOD.
He is a cheeky loveable lad who likes to always be on the go. Max is very inquisitive and loves exploring he also loves his PlayStation.
Support will initially be in the home until you have built up a trusting relationship with him and then its off out for adventures galore.
Max has 4 hours per week with an additional 4 in the school holidays. Family are fairly flexible as to when support is provided.
Max has a dog and 2 cats

£12.60PH

Carly (not her real name) is a chatty and fun loving 33 year old from Heywood, looking for a PA to help support her on a Saturday 9.00 – 4.00 at £ 12.60 per hour (start and end times can be flexible).
Cary lives on a farm but loves going out visiting lots of places. Has her PA you would be supporting with Carly with her personal care and then take her out to place like the park, cinema, bowling shopping etc.
You would need to be patient, enthusiastic and be a driver with your own car.

You would meet the taxi at Jennys home in Walmersley and collect her from College.
Jenny is a funny engaging girl who is very curious about the world. She loves music and photos and is fun to be with.
This role is from 3 hours a day from 2.00pm until 5.00pm Monday to Friday term time only.
There are other hours available if available
£15.02ph
