Brewing support for a great cause!

Our talented bakers at PCCA have once again outdone themselves, bringing in a delicious spread of sweet and savoury treats for our Macmillan Coffee Morning.

From fluffy cakes to savoury bites, the team’s efforts not only kept us well-fed but also helped us raise money for a cause close to so many hearts. 💚

A huge thank you to everyone who baked, ate, and donated - together we’re making a difference.

Living with eczema means more than managing dry or itchy skin.

Eczema Awareness Week is about recognising the reality of eczema, the physical discomfort and the emotional strain it can cause, and knowing that you’re not alone.

If you’re finding it difficult to manage your eczema and your current treatment isn’t suitable, a private prescriber may be able to recommend a different approach though a compounded medication that's more tailored to your skin's needs.

As September begins, many of us are shifting from summer holidays back into our usual routines.

Changes in pace, workload, and responsibilities can have a real impact on mental health, making it even more important to look after ourselves and each other.

Whether it’s taking small breaks, getting enough sleep, or staying connected with friends and family, building healthy habits can make a big difference.

At PCCA, we’re proud to support prescribers with alternative solutions by offering compounded medicines when standard options aren't suitable, helping them meet the unique clinical needs of their patients.

Let’s make time for conversations about mental well-being this month and beyond. 💙

September is Animal Pain Awareness Month and we want to spotlight the alternative solutions when standard medicines to treat their pain are not suitable.

What happens when your pet still needs relief?

Veterinary prescribers may choose personalised (also known as compounded) medicines for a variety of reasons, including when:

🐾 A custom dose is needed for specific needs

🐾 They need a more palatable flavour

🐾 Pets have difficulty with pills, and an alternative form is required

🐾 Multiple medicines can be combined into one dose

🐾 They have allergies or sensitivities to certain ingredients

🐾 A discontinued medicine needs replacing

🐾 They have a unique pain condition that standard medicines don’t address

By working alongside veterinary prescribers, we help make sure pets get the care they need because no one wants to see their pet in pain. ❤️

GNAAS delivers life-saving critical care by air and road across the North East, Cumbria, North Yorkshire, and the Isle of Man, reaching people in urgent need when every second counts.

Our team is honoured to support their mission as our charity of the year, helping ensure they can continue to be there for those who need them.

This week, we were pleased to welcome colleagues from our US PCCA team for three days of collaboration.

To mark the occasion, everyone came together to enjoy a lunchtime visit from the Tandoori Naan Hut food van. Despite the classic British weather, it was a great way to connect with our US visitors and share good food in great company.

A big thank you to our colleagues from across the pond for making the trip, and to our UK team for the warm hospitality.

Here’s to building even stronger connections across our global PCCA community.

When cats won’t tolerate tablets, compounded veterinary medicines can offer an alternative.

One recent case involved a feline patient with hyperthyroidism who refused oral meds. The prescriber recommended a transdermal treatment using our Lipoderm® base, applied to the ear for a stress-free solution at home.

💊 Customised doses
🧴 Easy-to-apply formats
🐾 Tailored care for feline health

For veterinary prescribers, compounding can offer valuable options when licensed treatments aren’t appropriate.
