It is with great regret that we've decided not to continue with our weekly group drop ins. We feel that we aren't able to commit the time (and energy) it really deserves. Life is chaotic and exhausting looking after a disabled child. We will still keep the Facebook group going and will plan to arrange random meet ups now and again. We would like to thank everyone for their help, support and friendship. We are really proud of the little community we have built up together.

I am thrilled to be collaborating with Little Gems Parent Carer Support Group to provide a SEND ARTventurers session during the Easter Holidays.

Places are VERY limited, only 10 children and their adult. Unfortunately I am unable to accommodate siblings on this occasion as we would like to keep numbers low and keep the limited spaces for children with SEND.

The session will be particularly catered to disabled children. Most activities will be on the floor but there will be activities on tables for children in wheelchairs/ accessible pushchairs.

Children with SEND and who are older than 8 years are welcome to attend but activities will be aimed at 6 months -8 years.

We added to this when we attended the conference. Sad to see that our issues are part of a very common theme. We also added issues that some of our group members also have.

Miners Lamp Cafe and Community Hub have SMILE Through Sport 11am-1pm and a lunch afterwards on Wednesday 31st May.

There's football on Tuesday and Thursday which must be booked.

Crafts making bird feeders, bug hotels and fairy windows on Wednesday 31st May and Friday 2nd June 11am-1pm.

Onsite cafe serving freshly cooked food, ice creams and drinks.

**SAVE THE DATE SATURDAY 6 MAY 2023**

Prudhoe Town Council have organised a ‘Picnic in the Park’ to celebrate the Coronation of King Charles III, it will be held at Eastwoods Park, West Wylam, Saturday 6th May, 12pm – 4pm.

We would love you to join us, there will be children’s inflatables as well as music, crafts, best dressed Kings & Queens competition and activities. Bring your own picnics, blankets and chairs.

The Miners Lamp Cafe and Community Hub will also be open for the purchase of food and drink (hot and cold.)
