Paths To Potential Consulting & Training Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, also known as CBT, is a type of 'talking therapy'.

Talking therapies can be helpful for a wide range of emotional problems and may be a suitable alternative to treatment with medication for some people. CBT is usually a relatively short-term type of therapy which focuses on emotional disturbances which are occurring in the 'here-and-now'. It is more than just problem solving however because it identifies patterns of unhelpful or 'distorted' thinking which often recur over time and which lead to emotional difficulties such as anxiety, panic, phobias, depression, stress and many others.
