Loneliness among older adults is a growing concern that affects health, wellbeing, and quality of life 🧡
Many elderly individuals experience loneliness due to loss of loved ones, reduced mobility, health challenges, or living alone. Studies show that 1 in 3 older adults report feeling lonely at times, and social isolation can be as harmful to health as smoking or obesity.
Studies show that prolonged loneliness can increase the risk of depression and anxiety and raise the likelihood of hospital admissions among older adults. Older people who feel socially isolated are also more likely to experience a decline in overall wellbeing and independence.
At ADSL Care, we believe no one should feel alone. A simple conversation, regular visits, or community support can make a meaningful difference in the lives of older people. Together, we can create a more connected and compassionate community where every older person feels valued, heard, and supported🧡🤝
