Resident of the day, we take pride in fulfilling our residents' wishes.
Recently, one of our residents expressed a desire to visit Tesco.
With Tesco conveniently located just down the road from Amberley, we seized the opportunity for a refreshing walk. After picking up some items from the store, we settled down for a delightful coffee and engaging conversation.

Many residents have their favorite foods, and one resident specifically chose McDonald's as their special meal, bringing them immense joy.

Additionally, several residents love to indulge in pampering sessions to have their nails done. We are dedicated to ensuring that each resident enjoys their preferred activities and treats.

Yesterday marked National Beach Day, and we successfully brought the vibrant atmosphere of Brighton Beach to the residents. Over the past few weeks, our residents enthusiastically prepared for the event by crafting impressive decorations, including a half boat, the sea, seagulls, and starfish. At Amberley, we take pride in our commitment to recycling, so we collaborated with Nico, our maintenance person, who saved cardboard boxes that were otherwise destined for disposal. These boxes became the foundation for our creative decorations.

On the day of the celebration, residents kicked off the festivities with a delicious prawn cocktail, followed by the classic fish and chips, prepared by our amazing kitchen team. We also featured an array of seaside treats at the party, such as the iconic Brighton rocks, candyfloss, ice cream, and slush puppies.

The residents had a fantastic afternoon, joyfully reminiscing about their seaside memories.

This afternoon, a lovely couple enjoyed a pub lunch date at Toby Carvery. The husband had the opportunity to take his wife out for a meal, and she was delighted. He was happy to see that she enjoyed the experience.

When the sun is shining, we take advantage of the beautiful weather to play garden games. The residents thrive in the fresh air, enhancing their motor skills while enjoying outdoor activities. We played volleyball and skittles, and everyone had a fantastic time competing against one another.

We had an incredible time at Mayfield's Lavender with the residents! Upon arrival, we were immediately enveloped by the delightful scent of lavender and captivated by the stunning views of the lavender fields.

The residents loved sampling the lavender-infused drinks, and the demonstration on how to plant lavender was engaging and informative.

To top it off, each resident took home their very own lavender, making it a truly memorable experience for everyone involved.

We had a fantastic annual BBQ at Amberley Lodge yesterday, and it was a wonderful day for both residents and the community.
Our head chef, Gilroy, and the kitchen team delivered exceptional food that everyone raved about. Eleanor captivated us with her beautiful voice, providing entertainment that truly delighted all attendees.
It was a day to remember!

The sun was shining brilliantly on Jamaican Independence Day this Wednesday, setting the perfect scene for celebration. It was an unforgettable afternoon packed with laughter, delicious food, refreshing drinks, and vibrant music. We couldn't have asked for a better way to honor Jamaica's 63 glorious years of independence!
