Mat2Life Yoga & Therapy delivers yoga and meditation classes in a safe, learning environment in Norfolk and online. Each student is listened to, cared for and taught the yoga techniques and poses they need to take them from the mat into daily life. One to one tuition is a great way of building a complete practice to address your specific injuries, pain or stresses. Forrest Yoga was created by Ana T Forrest over 30 years ago and constantly develops. This style of yoga specifically addresses physical and emotional challenges brought about by injury, old pain patterns, illness and emotional stress. Forrest yoga connects you to your core and gets you strong – every pose has a reason. There are four gateways to radiant health: Nutrition, posture, emotion, posture and structure. Posture is classed as a blockage and affects alignment and emotion resides in our tissue which affects our posture. It is energy in motion. Yoga can unwind and reverse this process. Juliet is a qualified Forrest Yoga Teacher and qualified/licensed Aromatherapist (International Institute of Health and Holistic Therapies). Another Saturday Yoga workshop complete but certainly not over for these courageous beauties 😍

This is one of my favourite ever quotes and I re-read it often when I'm losing sight of my horizon.

Today, our intention was: "Step into the experience you want to feel.”

In Forrest Yoga, we don’t wait to feel strong, balanced or grounded - we create it, pose by pose, breath by breath.

We also shared words of encouragement on the 'You Matter' Marathon cards - a global movement which aims to spread positivity and joy.

Green Juice πŸ₯¬

I've never been a huge fan of juices, purely because I prefer to 'eat' food rather than 'drink' it. Saying that, this is a fairly quick and easy one to make using the ingredients below and tastes really nice without any added honey.

400-500ml spring water
Half a bag of Kale Nero
2 x apples (I used red but green ok)
2 x celery sticks
1/2 cucumber
1/2 lemon
Thumb sized chunk of ginger

Throw it all in, zest, skin, pith, everything. Whizz up for a minute or two and strain through a sieve. This will give you 1 litre of green juice.

I don't own a juicer so used a blender instead.

This juice is for gut health, skin boost and provide a little energy pep me up πŸ’–

Good morning folks from the beautiful Norfolk coast! I hope you all had a good few days celebrating the festivities.

I have just a couple of spaces left on this session which I am particularly excited about.

In the Chinese calendar, the new year starts in early February. We bid farewell to the year of the snake (shedding our final skin) and welcome in the year of the horse (cultivating softness with courage). This is amplified by fire element.

This workshop also lands on the eve of a full moon. It is also the start of Imbolc which celebrates new life and returning light.

So you can see why this one gets my blood pumping!

If you don't like cake or sweetness, I am happy to procure a savoury treat instead.

Another workshop in Quorn! This time, we 'set up studio' in our local village scout hut πŸ›–

As we stride into the festive month, we are so often expected to be everywhere all at once, to get everything 'right' and show up with a smile on our faces. That's tough if we're not 'feeling it'.

We're talking about perfectionism and it is soooo exhausting (also unachievable).

Today, we allowed our practice to be a place where we laid down the weight of perfection. Instead of striving to β€˜get it right,’ we tuned in to what felt true in our bodies.

Students were invited to do their yoga at a level that kept them connected, not overwhelmed. They were also taught the beautiful Savasana Assist which is bespoke and unique to Forrest Yoga.

Today's sweet treat was Mary Berry's chocolate traybake and cinnamon tea β˜•οΈ

This lovely group ended the morning in beauty, carrying this permission into the rest of their day.
