Thank you to Yvette at Puretone for expediting my order for a replacement mould for my CENS digital Proflex DX1 earplugs. We've all heard the excuse - "The dog ate my homework". Well, the dog ate my earpiece! Luckily, I just had the passive module in it, as I don't wear the electronic modules for competitions.
A panicked call to Puretone on Tuesday, and Yvette was kind enough to rush the order through for me, so I can take my earplugs to N. Ireland on Monday for the HCIT and British Open ABT Championships.
I am so grateful to Yvette, and the team at Puretone for their wonderful service, getting the replacement to me so quickly.

With the increased number of individuals and business with little to no Aural Health experience, including health care professionals in other health care fields as aesthetics and podiatry doing ear wax removal, I thought it best we publish NICE guidance for ear wax removal. Personally an optician should look after eyes, pharmacists pharmaceuticals etc. I don't go to a barber to do my feet. Your choice.

You should not use Q-tips or cotton swabs to clean your ears
While you might get some earwax out with a Q-tip, the majority is actually pushed deeper into your ear canal. This can lead to impacted earwax and a vicious cycle of feeling like your ears are dirty, using Q-tips and pushing more wax deeper in your ears
