Can you help save the Chat-e-Cycle Project for older adults?

Chat-e-Cycle is a new community cycling scheme for older adults, hoping to launch this summer in rural Somerset.

Found by an NHS Physiotherapist, Chat-e-Cycle is working with local communities to create a healthy, sociable scheme to reduce rural isolation and physical inactivity in older adults.

A Crowdfunder has 2 days left to run and without further funding the team may be forced to postpone the launch.

Chat-e-Cycle is a new community cycling project for older adults being launched in Chilcompton this summer.

Founded by an NHS physiotherapist, this award winning initiative aims to tackle some of the core issues faced by older, rural residents in modern society:
- Social isolation and loneliness
- Physical inactivity and reduced mobility
- Difficult access to public transport with reduced local bus services

But the team really need your help to make this happen. We will need volunteer riders, fundraisers and local residents to come together to turn Chat-e-Cycle into a reality.

The aim of the Chat-e-Cycle is to help people get out in the fresh air and get active, all with an element of social interaction.

10 days ago Kate and Stella appeared on BBC Radio Somerset, to kick start the Chat-e-Cycle campaign.

Chat-e-Cycle is a community cycling scheme, launching in Chilcompton, Somerset, aimed at widening access to cycling for older adults, to help address issues such as social isolation, reduced physical acitvity and loneliness.
