I believe in justice & I believe in the British principal of innocent until proven guilty. In the last few days too many have started baying for Russell Brand’s blood, before the man has even been charged.
And before you start accusing me of being a woman throwing other women to the wolves I totally deny this. I am a strong & proud woman who will always stand up for mine & my sisters rights & wellbeing.
Trial by media is not justice. Gossip & accusations on social media by people who have no evidence & probably don’t even know the man, isn’t justice either.
For a long time now, Russell has been becoming increasingly a thorn in the side of powerful & corrupt people. His interviews with environmental & social justice activists have been coming too close to the truth & those people in power who have a lot to lose if exposed, may well be at the back of this. We don’t know but I sincerely hope the truth of the whole situation is found.
Whatever that may be, however, there is also a wife & innocent children to consider. Can we not at least keep our mouths shut & let the investigation take place without taking to social media demanding an ex*****on? I feel like I’m living in the Middle Ages when hangings were public entertainment.
