Movement is key to manage back pain. Simple, small and gentle movements help to just reduce stiffness that has built up over night.
I teach this simple technique to all of my back pain clients. .
Get some movement in whilst you’re still in bed to help ease the pain when you actually get up.
Simple, safe and effective.
Let me know if this helps. If you have any questions put them in the comments.
Keep moving.

Back “spasms” can feel alarming — but they’re usually not what people think.

That sudden tightening, sharpness or feeling of your back “going” is often your body being protective, not something breaking or going out of place.

The problem is, fear can make it worse.
People stop moving, brace, or avoid activity altogether — and that can slow things down.

What actually helps is gentle movement, changing positions, and gradually building confidence again.

You don’t need perfect posture.
You don’t need fixing.
And you don’t need to wait for the pain to completely disappear before you start moving.

If you’ve experienced this, you’re not alone it’s incredibly common.

And with the right approach, it settles.

Have you ever had your back go into spasm?

You’re not too old & you don’t have to be pain free to start.

I aim to give advice and support that works not a discount code to buy supplements that have no evidence to support the claims they make.
I’m nearly 60 and I’ve had knee injuries. I’ve learnt how to support myself towards my goals through strength training.
I’ve had times of being in so much pain I thought it would never get better. My physio told me I would need a total knee replacement.
8 years later I have no pain but I keep training keep adapting or modifying movements as and when I need to.
Movement is medicine. If this is making you think then good. You’re in the right place. Hit the follow button.

Collagen is just everywhere. The magical triple formula to rebuild your knees for running.
Runners need a good plan to manage volume and intensity. Some strength training, good rest and recovery and good nutrition.
A well managed program will do so much more than supplements. Supplements aren’t going to save your knees if you’re doing too much too soon.
I keep seeing women pushing this message out to other women and it sucks. I bet they have a discount code too.
Want help with your knees then comment SUPPORT I will talk you through the next steps.

Back pain can feel confusing.

You’ve been told it’s your posture.
Or your age.
Or something is “out of place”.
You want to know exactly what is wrong.

But most of the time, it’s not that simple.

Pain is influenced by lots of things, your sleep, stress, anxiety, lack of movement, too much movement, beliefs and more.

The good news?
There are many ways to start feeling better.
You don’t need perfect posture. You don’t need to do a load of core exercises.
You probably don’t need a scan to tell you what’s wrong.
And you don’t need to stop moving.
You need the right approach for you.

If you’ve got back pain and you’re not sure what to do next comment or message MOVE and I’ll help you

I really do understand that not everyone is open to strength training - this can be complex and I completely understand and respect my client’s decisions.
But I am astonished that a consultant would recommend taking supplements over any kind or rehab plan!
Messaging around exercise can be mixed and I do understand why people avoid it. It’s not just a question of get over yourself and just do it.
The difference in response with the client who was recommended strength training was so profound.
As always I am going to do my best to support my clients to the best of my abilities and in the way that works for them.
I wonder what your thoughts are on supplements and strength training.

Living with pain is emotional and challenging.
I could present you with so many facts and data to try to reassure you that your back pain isn’t serious. But that just isn’t going to move the needle for most people.

It takes time to allow your body to relax into movement. It takes patience and trust. That’s why I work with the breath to help movement feel a little easier.
To see my client be able to touch the floor for the first time in two years was an incredible moment because he allowed himself to relax and let it happen.
Not all of my work is about getting strong. Sometimes it’s about learning to relax.
There’s a way forward. If you’d like to take a relaxing step forward out of pain comment SUPPORT.

If you believe that pain and weakness are just part of getting older…
this might change how you see your body.

Joint pain doesn’t automatically mean your body is wearing out. It certainly doesn’t mean you need to start reaching for supplements.

What often changes with age is:
• muscle strength
• movement habits
• confidence in your body
• recovery (sleep, stress, activity levels)

Less movement → less support for your joints
Less strength → lower tolerance to load
More fear → more sensitivity

And over time, things start to feel worse.
But this can be changed.
Your joints don’t need to be “perfect”

They need:
• movement
• strength
• gradual loading
• consistency

This is exactly what we work on.
If you’re feeling stiff, achy, or unsure where to start, you don’t need to figure it out on your own.

Message me JOINTS and I’ll help you take the first step.
