Hell 💔 (Part 1)
Choma was only 17.
They told her she was going to Italy…
A better life.
A job.
Hope.
But the journey started through Libya.
They packed them into a vehicle, too many girls, not enough space.
No names. No comfort. Just fear.
Days turned into nights on the road.
Along the way…
they saw skeletons.
Not one.
Not two.
Many.
Bodies of people who didn’t make it.
Sometimes, when someone fell off the truck…
the driver didn’t stop.
Because that road?
It’s a dead zone.
Choma held herself tight.
Not because she wasn’t scared…
but because of her mother.
Back in the village…
her mother was sick, kidney problems.
Choma kept thinking:
“If I don’t survive this… who will take care of her?”
So she endured.
She stayed quiet.
She held on.
When they finally got to Libya,
they were told they would be “checked”
and assigned to camps.
Choma felt a little relief.
Maybe… just maybe…
this was where her new life would begin.
They asked her what she could do.
“I can make hair,” she said softly.
They laughed.
That was when her world shattered.
“You didn’t come here to make hair,” they said.
“You came here for prostitution.”
Her heart dropped.
Tears flowed endlessly.
But crying changed nothing.
Because now…
she had no choice.
They told her clearly:
“If you refuse… you will die.”
Back home…
Her mother hasn’t heard from her for 3 months.
Every night, she prays:
“God… just let me see my daughter again.”
And somewhere far away…
Choma whispers the same prayer:
“Even if it’s just once…
let me see my mother again.”
